This article extends the debate regarding entrepreneurial intention antecedents. It seeks to achieve an in-depth understanding of the direct influence of attitude, entrepreneurial education (EE), and gender on entrepreneurial intention (EI), but also of the moderator effect of family background on the EE–EI relationship in an international context. The study employs structural equation modeling (SEM) to test our hypotheses. Data analysis is based on the information of French and international postgraduate students in French business schools. The results suggest a positive and significant causal relationship between attitude and EI for both samples. However, the results also reveal that EE has a negative influence on EI development. As such, our results open interesting perspectives regarding EI antecedents, but also concerning the efficiency of the pedagogical approach adapted on EE.

SummaryThis article deals with the role of bargaining power in shaping workers’ willingness to accept fixed-term jobs. It is assumed that workers prefer permanent contracts but may be willing to compromise on job security under certain conditions. To what extent is the willingness to accept fixed-term contracts influenced by personal characteristics and contextual factors that shape individuals’ bargaining power vis-à-vis employers? In a factorial survey implemented within the German panel study “Labour Market and Social Security” (PASS) approx. 3,700 respondents evaluated more than 18,000 short descriptions (vignettes) of hypothetical job offers with an experimental variation of job characteristics, including contract type. Results show that better labor market integration and economic resources of the respondents reduce the willingness to accept insecure jobs. The effect of a better bargaining position also shows up in the higher level of financial compensation required for fixed-term contracts. Moreover, some variation by family background and gender has been found.

This study measures the impact of spatial factors on the educational achievements of Russian students. According to the theory of equal opportunities, individual achievements depend on two groups of determinants: uncontrollable circumstances and one’s own efforts. Inequality of achievements produced by inequality of effort is treated as ethically acceptable, while inequality arising from circumstances is unfair and therefore must be compensated. The research is based on the data of the International Program for the Assessment of Educational Achievements of Students (PISA), wave 2018. Multilevel regression modeling was applied. A two-level model was used, in which the first level is that of the student, while the second level is regional. The calculations showed that anywhere from 14 to 16% of the variance in Russian students’ academic achievements is attributed to interregional irregularities. We learned that controlling for socio-economic status, lack of staff and material support in the school, type of area in which the school is located, and gender of the student make it possible to slightly reduce the role of regional differences, though it still remained significant. To a certain extent the impact of regional factor can be explained by variations in the influence of family background, school characteristics and gender across regions. The estimation of regional random effects allowed for identifying both the leaders and the outsiders in terms of the availability and quality of school education. Calculations have shown that the leaders and outsiders are practically the same in regards to all three areas of literacy.

Purpose: Education is the field of study that deals with the pedagogy of teaching and learning. The teacher is the person who is responsible for all these acts.  As the importance of teacher is a proven fact so it is necessary that a teacher should be enthusiastic and dedicated towards his teaching. The above mentioned state is termed as teacher’s morale. The study was to investigate teacher self-perception about their morale for teaching affected by different internal working conditions like: teacher’s rapport with head, rapport among the teachers, salary and curriculum issues. The nature of this study was quantitative. Questionnaire consisted upon 39 items, was modified from a reliable and valid instrument constructed by Bentley and Remple 1970. 90 teachers from 24 departments of University of Sargodha were selected as sample of the study by using convenient sampling technique. Data was collected personally. Collected data was analyzed by using descriptive and inferential statistics techniques. The results showed that there is significant difference between teacher’s morale and internal factors. Insignificant difference was found among teachers of different age and gender. BUT there was significant difference among masters. M.Phil. and PhD qualified teachers. The study suggested that another research may be conducted to investigate different external working conditions like environment and family background.
