Students’ academic achievement plays a significant role in the polytechnic institute. It is an important task for the technical student to achieve good results. It becomes more challenging by virtue of the huge amount of data in the polytechnic student databases. Recently, the lack of monitoring of academic activities and their performance has not been harnessed. This is not a good way to evaluate the academic performance of polytechnic students in Bangladesh at present. The study on existing academic prediction systems is still not enough for the polytechnic institutions. Consequently, we have proposed a novel technique to improve student academic performance. In this study, we have used the deep neural network for predicting students' academic final marks. The main objective of this paper is to improve students' results. This paper also explains how the prediction deep neural network model can be used to recognize the most vital attributes in a student's academic data namely midterm_marks, class_ test, attendance, assignment, and target_ marks. By using the proposed model, we can more effectively improve polytechnic student achievement and success.

Researchers and educators raise the question of whether pupils' academic performance can be improved through parental involvement in academic activities. The main objective of the following study is to verify whether parental involvement in school activities and family socioeconomic status are associated with children's academic achievement. 150 Spanish seventh grade pupils completed intelligence tests, and their teachers assessed parents' involvement in the school and estimated parents' cultural levels. To measure academic achievement the pupil's overall grade was taken from the Pupils' Final Evaluation Registers. The education and professional level of the mother and father and home size were obtained from the Pupil Personal Register; these variables define the family socioeconomic status. The data, analyzed through application of structural equations, suggest that academic achievement is directly influenced by the cultural level of the family and the child's intelligence but is indirectly influenced by parental involvement in school activities and the socioeconomic status of the child's family.

Abstract Studies have shown that pupils’ academic performance is not only determined by their parents’ socio-economic status but also parental involvement in the education processes. The study, therefore, examined the socio-economic status of parents and its influence on pupils’ academic performance looking at the role of parental involvement in that relationship. With Walberg’s theory of educational productivity as a lens, the findings were based on surveys with 120 pupils selected randomly from Kwaprow Basic School and 10 and 5 interviews with parents and teachers respectively. The study found that parents’ education did not significantly affect students’ academic performance. Parents were not assisting their children in their academic activities including failure to attend Parent-Teacher Association meetings and not assisting them with homework. This was largely attributed to parental low educational level. However, with a 0.045, 0.028, 0.041 and 0.036, as p-values, the study showed that there was a statistically significant relationship between parental involvement, occupation and family size and academic performance of pupils. In order to improve students’ academic performance, the study recommended that the Parent-Teacher Associations (PTA) should intensively sensitise parents on the need to involve themselves in their wards’ education so as to aid them to perform better academically.

This work emphasizes the teaching work in the progress of the educational system. The objective was to determine the relationship between the Teacher Professional Training and the Academic Performance of the students of Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics of an University of Lima, Perú. The study methodology was correlational, the sample was 6 teachers and 72 students. The teachers were surveyed and the students were evaluated through the minutes. A mean and direct correlation of 44.05% was obtained between the variables studied.
