In this study, it was carried out by designing PH, soil fertilization content, humidity and mutagenic bacteria DX1 inoculation concentration of orthogonal experiment to research chlorpyrifos degradation rate in the soil, which was affected by mutagenic bacteria DX1 in the soil environment. SPSS software was taken visualized analysis and variance analysis to evaluate the impact of different levels of the test results, to determine the factors which had significant impact on the experimental results. It showed that the best environmental factors of chlorpyrifos degradation rate in soil were the pH 7, organic fertilizer content 5mg/kg, the soil moisture 70%, inoculation volume 50ml/kg. The pH value and inoculation volume had a significant impact on chlorpyrifos degradation rate in soil; the soil humidity had little effect and the organic fertilizer content had almost no effect.

Recalcitrant and toxic organic pollutants such as aniline from numerous industrial wastewaters can not be efficiently removed using the conventional methods. This study reported a concept for mineralization of aniline in an anoxic reactor, where enhanced biodegradation of aniline were achieved under anoxic conditions. The results indicated that with the presence of nitrate, the degradation rate of aniline was greatly improved compared with the absence of nitrate. From the UV-vis adsorption spectra, COD analysis and denitrification performance analysis, it could be inferred that the cleavage of benzene ring of aniline occurred, aniline could be mineralization by microorganisms under the anoxic condition. However, aniline removal rate was lower compared to aerobic degradation process, and thus needs a significant improvement.

The aim of this research was to study the effect of chipping method on geometry of particles obtained from date palm frond as a lignocellulose residue. For this purpose, date palm fronds were chipped with four different equipment: chipper-flaker, chipper-hammer mill, flaker-hammer mill, and chipper-flaker-hammer mill. The geometry of the particle including particle size, particle size distribution, shape, and aspect ratio were investigated. The results showed that maximum weight percentage (more than 40%) was related to the particles sizes of +30/-40 mesh for all chipping methods and more than 50% of all generated particles had a needle shape. In the chipper-hammer mill method, both the weight percentage of useable particles in particleboard and the particle percentage of the rectangle or nearly rectangle particle were higher. Thus, the chipper-hammer mill method was judged to be the best method.
