This report describes a case of 50 year old woman fever and bony pains with lytic lesion in skull. A polyclonal band was seen in γregion on serum electrophoresis. Bone marrow examination showed excess of plasma cells along with many Pseudo- Gaucher cells. The diagnosis of chronic inflammatory reaction was made. Although stain for AFB was negative, the patient responded to antitubercular treatment. The presence of pseudo-gaucher cells along with plasmacytosis is a rare finding in tuberculosis. Abstract A case of posttraumatic meningioma with pathological evidence of intimate association with a nidus of chronic inflammatory reaction is presented. The literature regarding the controversial association of trauma with this neoplasm is critically reviewed. Although meningiomas are not common sequelae of head trauma, it is proposed that they may arise when the injury results in chronic inflammation.

Abdominal cocoon is a complete or partial encasement of intestines and rarely viscera by a fibrocollagenous sac which is usually formed by a nonspecific chronic inflammatory reaction. We report a case of abdominal cocoon in a 2-day-old neonate presenting with intestinal obstruction.

Abstract Meningiomas are the most common primary, non-glial tumours of the brain and spine, and represent the most common extra-axial lesions. The typical meningioma is a dural-based, markedly enhancing extraaxial mass; they exhibit cortical buckling with trapped cerebrospinal fluid clefts or cortical vessels. There are factors strongly associated with risk of developing meningioma, as in the case of exposure to ionizing radiation, or exogenous or endogenous hormones, as in this case, the presence of shunt material as a foreign body may have contributed to oncogenesis on the basis of a chronic inflammatory reaction. The aim of this report is to present the clinical case of a meningioma, which enveloped the proximal catheter of ventriculoperitoneal shunt valve

Myospherulosis is a chronic inflammatory reaction to the mixture of red blood cells and petroleum based ointments. A literature review does not reveal any cases involving ophthalmic manifestations. We present the first reported case of a patient experiencing recurrent eyelid inflammation from myospherulosis after endoscopic sinus surgery. The pathophysiology and management of myospherulosis are discussed.
