The technique of longitudinal neutron polarization analysis on a multi-detector neutron spectrometer (so-called `xyz'-polarization analysis) is presented. This technique allows the simultaneous and unambiguous determination of the nuclear, magnetic and nuclear spin-incoherent scattering cross sections as a function of both momentum transfer and energy transfer. The implementation ofxyz-polarization analysis on the recently upgraded D7 spectrometer at the Institut Laue–Langevin in Grenoble is described. Several examples of neutron polarization analysis studies of disordered systems on D7 are given, illustrating the valuable information which can be retrieved from the analysis of neutron diffraction patterns between the Bragg peaks.

This study uses a descriptive methodology with interview data collection techniques, observation and documentation studies. The results showed that of the 17 schools that were established and categorized since 2018 it was found that 37% of the schools did not meet the study group requirements because there were less than 20 students. Then, judging from the communication process, the socialization of the requirements for the establishment of schools has not been carried out properly, information regarding the determination of school conditions is only conveyed to the school establishment committee. The readiness of resources has not been met and the disposition process still needs attention. The bureaucratic structure factor is still not clear, the standard operational procedures of the Batu Bara District Education Office have been guided by Kepmendiknas No. 060/U/2002. Based on the conclusion of this study, it was found that the Education Office of Batu Bara Regency had implemented policies in accordance with the Ministry of National Education. Number 060/U/2002, but needs to do some repairs. Keywords: Policy, School Establishment, Edwards

Unless special precautions are taken, the experimental determination of two-beam structure factors to better than 1 % may include contributions from neighbouring n-beam interactions. In any particular experimental configuration, corrections for such contributions are easily carried out using the modified two-beam structure factor formalism developed recently (Juretschke 1984), once the full indexing of the pertinent n-beam interactions is known. The method is illustrated for both weak and strong primary reflections and its applicability in special cases, as well as for less than perfect crystals, is discussed.

Determining atomic positions in thin films by X-ray diffraction is, at present, a task reserved for synchrotron facilities. Here an experimental method is presented which enables the determination of the structure factor amplitudes of thin films using laboratory-based equipment (Cu Kα radiation). This method was tested using an epitaxial 130 nm film of CuMnAs grown on top of a GaAs substrate, which unlike the orthorhombic bulk phase forms a crystal structure with tetragonal symmetry. From the set of structure factor moduli obtained by applying this method, the solution and refinement of the crystal structure of the film has been possible. The results are supported by consistent high-resolution scanning transmission electron microscopy and stoichiometry analyses.
