The system damping of electric power systems is influenced by factors of many aspects. In this paper, we analyzed the impact of speed control system on the damping of the whole system in consideration of the Pole-Zero Analysis. The result shows that simple speed control would damp the oscillation, while the power-frequency control would excite the oscillation. Furthermore, the effect of steam turbine response rate on the system damping is analyzed. The time constant of hydraulic servo-motor would determine the response rate of the steam turbine, and as a result, an inflection point exists on the curve which describes the relationship between hydraulic servo-motor time constant and system damping. The result demonstrates that the characteristics of system damping can be used in parameter debugging of steam turbine.

Mine hoist shoulder important transport tasks. Through the analysis of the main circuit of mine hoist, this paper studies out ASCS digital DC speed control system whose core is microprocessor and whose hardware part constitutes digital trigger and double closed loop system. The software part not only achieves the system's digital PI regulator, logic switching, digital trigger phase shift, pulse channel selection and pulse width setting, but also realizes the systematic detection, monitoring, fault diagnosis, which improves the control precision and work stability of the system.

Abstract A method of variable speed control system for turboprop engine is presented in this paper. Firstly, the steady operation state of turboprop engine is analyzed, and the operating line is figured out in the steady state characteristic diagram, which is the design basis of Engine Thrust Management System (ETMS). Secondly, the reference model sliding mode multivariable control is used to design the control law to follow the speed instructions given by ETMS. Finally, the optimization of the minimum fuel consumption operating curve is realized, and the control system designed is applied to a numerical model of a turboprop engine. The simulation results show that compared with the constant speed control system, the variable speed control system can reduce the specific fuel consumption by 2.37 % on average and 3.1 % in steady state conditions. Furthermore, the method can enable the pilot to manipulate the turboprop aircraft by using only one throttle lever, which can greatly reduce the pilot operation burden.
