Stability of state-delayed digital filters with overflow nonlinearities

In this work, stability of digital filters in the presence of overflow nonlinearities and time-varying delay is investigated with/without external disturbance. Two new lemmas related to characterization of overflow nonlinearities are developed. The first lemma is established with better utilization of system information which includes overflow nonlinearities, previous and current states of the digital filter. The second lemma associated with overflow nonlinearities is developed with lesser constraints. Furthermore, by utilizing the established lemmas and a new Lyapunov functional, an asymptotic stability condition is presented for the digital filter with time-varying delay and overflow nonlinearities. The developed condition is shown to be more relaxed and computationally less demanding than the existing criteria. In addition to that, a sufficient condition is derived under which the digital filter with external disturbance, overflow nonlinearities, and time-varying delay has a prescribed noise attenuation level. To show the efficacy of the proposed approach, numerical examples are presented.

Engineered Stable 5-Hydroxymethylfurfural Oxidase (HMFO) from 8BxHMFO Variant of Methylovorus sp. MP688 through B-Factor Analysis

What is known as Furan-2,5-dicarboxylic acid (FDCA) is an attractive compound since it has similar properties to terephthalic acid. Further, 5-hydroxymethylfurfural oxidase (HMFO) is an enzyme, which could convert HMF to FDCA directly. Most wild types of HMFO have low activity on the oxidation of HMF to FDCA. The variant of 8BxHFMO from Methylovorus sp. MP688 was the only reported enzyme that was able to perform FDCA production. However, the stabilization of 8BxHMFO is still not that satisfactory, and further improvement is necessary for the industrial application of the enzyme. In this work, stability-enhanced HMFO from 8BxHFMO was engineered through employing B-factor analysis. The mutation libraries were created based on the NNK degeneracy of residues with the top ten highest B-factor value, and two of the effective mutants were screened out through the high throughput selection with the horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-Tyr assay. The mutants Q319K and N44G show a significantly increased yield of FDCA in the reaction temperature range of 30 to 40 °C. The mutant Q319K shows the best performance at 35 °C with a FDCA yield of 98% (the original 8BxHMFO was only 85%), and a half-life exceeding 72 h. Moreover, molecular dynamic simulation indicates that more hydrogen bonds are formed in the mutants, which improves the stability of the protein structure. The method could enhance the design of more stable biocatalysts; and provides potential for the further optimization and utilization of HMFO in biotechnological processes.

Optimization of the Maintenance Factors in Ampel Mosque, Surabaya, Indonesia

The Ampel Mosque in Surabaya is an important historical site for Muslims in Indonesia. The architecture of the Ampel mosque is strongly influenced by Javanese and Arabic culture. a very harmonious integration between Javanese architecture as a form of authenticity and local wisdom in buildings, while Arabic architecture as a complementary and additional component. This research was, therefore, conducted to optimize the maintenance factor in the mosque building to ensure it functions properly and sustainably towards serving as a historic worship place for future generations. Data were collected using questionnaires distributed to the congregants or users of the mosques and analyzed through optimization using a dynamic program based on the level of importance. The results showed seven maintenance factors including the complexity of construction and design, serviceability, building durability, security and safety, aesthetics of the building, user comfort, and maintenance capability. Moreover, the optimization process prioritized the ease in construction work, stability of the construction, durability against structural damage to the building, use of non-hazardous materials, aesthetics of the building, the comfort of indoor and outdoor spaces, and ease of maintenance. These are expected to be the focus of the mosque manager in maintaining the authenticity of the building components. This, therefore, means the Ampel Mosque building can be maintained as a religious tourism destination at the national and international levels in order to ensure its historical value is sustained while the local and national economy is improved.

ORGANIZATION OF SOCIAL COMMUNICATIONS IN THE OFFICE CENTERS ARCHITECTURE OVER THE LAST YEARS

Office centers and big office parks with the comfortably organized environment are in a huge demand type of buildings over the last years. Research on communication in the architecture of twenty seven “A-class” office buildings in Great Britain, Denmark, Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Estonia, France, Germany, Austria, Italy, and Portugal in years 2017-2019 is based upon these given meanings of a term «social communication»: 1) ... is a process which connects different parts of a social network with one another; 2) ...is a transmission of information, ideas, emotions, in form of signs and symbols. Flexible plannings of European office buildings, which can be instantly transformed, according to the company’s needs are best suited with an adhocratic type of organizational culture in Europe. This work consists of the analysis of the features of social communications in office centers based on: · social communications between people; · social communications between people and the environment. Organization of social communications: 1. External: (“office is a part of a city environment”) A) integration of a building in the city environment by using · restaurant and cafes on bottom floors; · planting of greenery; · patios and transit area spaces; entering zone, rooftop lounge-zones with open access; B) connection with the surrounding panorama by using solid glass facades, which also represents transparency of work processes; C) informing through building design about the company’s work stability with static facades. 2. Internal: A) horizontal (existence of individual space in shared space): “openoffice” system with open and semi-open spaces with constant working zones on the perimeter of the building, negotiation rooms, opened zones for the teamwork and temporary workspaces “touch down”- type; B) vertical: administration zon, talk rooms, shared communicative spaces; 3. A) planned and formal: training room, talk rooms, conference-rooms. B) random and situational: all office spaces (working zones excluded) including stairs and ramps. Office spaces also provide direct and indirect; interpersonal, intergroup and inter-organizational social communication [12].

Mechanizm zapewnienia zrównoważonego finansowania przedsiębiorstw rolnych

The aim of the research is summing up and improving theoretical and methodical approaches to determination of financial sustainability of agricultural enterprises. World and national experience of financial sustainability determination of entrepreneurial activities subjects were analyzed and summarized as well as system impact factors on formation of financial sustainability on the regional level and the group of agricultural enterprises level were examined. There are considerable formation specifics of the financial sustainability mechanism of agricultural enterprises. It means that main target of mechanism to ensure financial sustainability is to achieve financial security, their work stability and development today and in future. The method offers using complex of indicators that are closely connected with each other and define economic status and financial ability to continue enterprise activities and examine financial sustainability of an enterprise. The implementation of this approach to determine financial sustainability will increase the information background for further analyzation of financial opportunities.

Anion Exchange Behaviour of Zr, Hf, Nb, Ta and Pa as Homologues of Rf and Db in Fluoride Medium

Studies of the chemical property of transactinide elements are very difficult due to their short half-lives and extremely small production yields. However it is still possible to obtain considerable information about their chemical properties, such as the most stable oxidation states in aqueous solution, complexing ability, etc., comparing their behaviour with their lighter homologous in the periodic table. In order to obtain a better knowledge of the behavior of rutherfordium, Rf (element 104), dubnium, Db (element 105) in HF medium, the sorption properties of Zr, Hf, Nb, Ta and Pa, homologues of Rf and Db, were studied in NH4F/HClO4 medium in this work. Stability constants of the fluoride complexes of these elements were experimentally obtained from Kd obtained at different F- and H+ concentrations. The anionic complexes: [Zr(Hf)F5]-, [Zr(Hf)F6]2-, [Zr(Hf)F7]3-, [Ta(Pa)F6]-, [Ta(Pa)F7]2-, [Ta(Pa)F8]3-, [NbOF4]- and [NbOF5]2- are present as predominant species in the HF range over investigation.

If the concept, of the university, has taken as a reference it can be affirmed, that it is the academic institution of higher education, research, and relationship with society. Which grants academic degrees in different disciplines, in order to make the economic and social development of the community professionally viable, and the contribution it offers is practically essential, especially as it relates to the link between the human resource that leaves and its influence on the local development of the society. A conscientious study has made the indicators that influence this interactive process of experiences, wisdom, and knowledge by development, work, stability, in the environment where they operate. There are factors that influence and determine that the development of a social conglomerate does not correspond to the number of professionals who graduate from university classrooms. To determine the development is growing or not, the possible causes generate it has analyzed and secondly, strategies have proposed in which the main actors of the change participate. The province of Manabí has characterized by significant economic activity in the agricultural field, with the ideal conditions to originate growth and development; however, there are high levels of unemployment.

PENGARUH REMITAN, JIWA ENTREPRENEURSHIP, KEMAPANAN BEKERJA PASCA MENJADI TKI, TERHADAP TINGKAT KESEJAHTERAAN TKI PURNA

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh remitan, jiwa entrepreneurship, dan kemapanan bekerja pasca menjadi TKI baik secara parsial maupun simultan terhadap tingkat kesejahteraan Tenaga Kerja Indonesia (TKI) purna. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu penelitian kuantitatif. Metode pengambilan data secara survei. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 240 orang TKI purna. Data yang telah terkumpul dianalisis dengan analisis univariate, bivariate, dan multivariate. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa: ada pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan antara jumlah remitan, jiwa kewirausahaan, dan kemapanan bekerja baik secara parsial maupun simultan terhadap tingkat kesejahteraan TKI purna.Abstract: The purpose of this study was to describe the effects of remittance, entrepreneurial spirit, and work stability after becoming migrant workers both partially and simultaneously to the level of welfare of Indonesian Workers (TKI) have returned. The approach used in this study is quantitative research. The process of collecting data uses the survey method. The research sample amounted to 240 TKI who have returned. Data that has been collected is analyzed with univariate, bivariate, and multivariate analysis. The results of the analysis show that: 1) there is a positive and significant influence between the number of remittances, entrepreneurial spirit, and establishment working both partially and simultaneously on the welfare level of TKI who have returned.
