Activated natural zeolite clinoptilolite is microporous hydrated aluminosilicates crystals with well-defined structures containing AlO4 and SiO4 tetrahedral linked through the common oxygen atoms. It is to point out that zeolites act as strong adsorbents and ion-exchangers but having many other useful properties. Due to its cationexchange ability, zeolites have catalytic properties and, for that, multiple uses in medicine and industry, agriculture, water purification and detergents. Zeolites are nontoxic substance, excellent for UVR and microbes protection, for proteins and small molecules such as glucose adsorption. In this paper its positive effect on the metabolism of living organisms and its anticancerogenic, antiviral, antimetastatic and antioxidant effect. The activity of natural zeolite as natural immunostimulator was presented as well as its help in healing wounds. Therefore, the present paper is an attempt to modify cotton (by mercerization) and polyester (by alkaline hydrolysis) fabrics for summer clothing with addition of natural zeolite nanoparticles for achieving UV and antibacterial protective textiles.

Global warming increases each day and causes people to pay more attention to the reduction of carbon dioxide emission in order to mitigate the increase in temperature. Reducing, reusing, and recycling can effectively reduce the emission of carbon dioxide, to attain goals of energy conservation and carbon reduction. This study aims to explore the difference in the punch resistance and impact strength between the polyethylene terephthalate (PET) nonwoven fabrics and PET/TPU honeycomb grid/PET (P/T/P) composites. Recycle PET, high strength PET, and low melting PET are made into PET nonwoven fabrics, two layers of which are laminated with a TPU honeycomb grid, the interlayer, to form P/T/P composites. The constant rate puncture resistance, dynamic puncture resistance, and impact strength of PET nonwoven fabrics and P/T/P composites are evaluated. The experiment results show that both the constant rate and dynamic puncture resistances of P/T/P composites are lower than those of PET nonwoven fabrics.

A simple and flexible method for theoretical calculation of the main structural parameters of various weft-knitted fancy and combined patterns is presented in this article. It is especially important for patterns containing different elements, such as loops, floats of different lengths, tucks, and tuck stitches. Measurement of an actual average length of the loop in these fabrics is complicated because it is necessary to disassemble precisely one pattern repeat to measure the yarn length and divide it by the number of elements in this pattern repeat. For large and complex pattern repeats, this is difficult and usually gives a high number of errors. It is very important to have lengths of structural elements as it helps to predict the main physical properties of knitted fabrics and their mechanical behaviour, which is especially important for protective textiles. The main idea of the proposed method, based on Čiukas geometrical model, is to calculate lengths of various structural elements or even their parts separately, taking into account the number of needle bars and their formation principle, which gives great flexibility to such modelling. The proposed theoretical formulas can be used for various patterned weft-knitted structures containing not only loops but tucks, floats of different lengths, or additional yarns; they give very few errors in empirical calculations and are easy to use.
