Introduction. Physical activity is known to be an important factor influencing health throughout human life. This issue has become crucial for public health due to the aging of the population in both developed and developing countries. Aim. is to present a literature review on the forms of physical activity undertaken by the elderly, as well as on issues related to physical activity and the population aging. Material and methods. The study was prepared on the basis of a review of Polish and foreign literature. The following databases and data sources were used: EBSCO, ScienceDirect and Google Scholar. An additional source of data were the websites of the Central Statistical Office. Strictly defined key phrases were used during the collection of literature. The work has been divided into thematic subsections on the aging of the society, the impact of physical activity on health and the main topic, i.e. forms of physical activity selected by the elderly. Analysis of the literature. The number of elderly people in Polish society has increased by almost 3.7 million over three decades. Therefore, an important topic is prophylaxis aimed at increasing the number of days in good health, largely covering the broadly understood activation of the elderly. The available data indicate that only 12% of elderly people undertake physical activity once a week. The most common form of spending free time actively is walking (as many as 73% of people in this population declare this form of physical activity in one of the presented studies). Conclusion. Organized forms of physical activity are undertaken much less frequently by the analyzed age group mainly due to financial limitations and limited availability of sports infrastructure.

Purpose The usefulness of risk disclosures (RDs) to support equity investors’ investment decisions is highly discussed. As prior research criticizes the extensive aggregation of risk information in existing empirical research, this paper aims to provide an attempt to identify disaggregated risk information associated with cumulative abnormal stock returns (CARs). Design/methodology/approach The sample consists of 2,558 RDs of companies listed in the S&P 500 index. The RDs were filed within 10 K filings between 2011 and 2017. First, this study automatically extracted 35,685 key phrases that occurred in a maximum of 1.5% of the RDs. Second, this study performed stepwise regressions of these key phrases and identified 67 (78) key phrases that show positive (negative) associations with CARs. Findings The paper finds that investors seem to value most the more common key phrases just below the 1.5% rarest key phrase threshold and business-related key phrases from RDs. Furthermore, investors seem to perceive key phrases that contain words indicating uncertainty (impacts) as a negative (positive) rather than a positive (negative) signal. Research limitations/implications The research approach faces limitations mainly due to the selection of the included key phrases, the focus on CARs and the methodological choice of the stepwise regression analysis. Originality/value The study reveals the potential for companies to increase the information value of their RDs for equity investors by providing tailored information within RDs instead of universal phrases. In addition, the research indicates that the tailored RDs encouraged by the SEC contain relevant information for investors. Furthermore, the results may guide the attention of equity investors to relevant text passages whose deeper analysis might be useful with regard to investors’ capital market decisions.

AimsThe aim of this project is to improve the training experience of Psychiatry trainees across CNWL. In QI terms, we want to achieve a satisfaction rating of above 7/10 for all themes identified by August 2021.MethodCollected baseline data on satisfaction and priority ratings on 7 training themes Held discussion groups with trainees for specific themes to generate issues and solutions Developed and provided Quality Improvement training for trainees and trainers, 1:1 support and QI clinics – empowering trainees to develop their own local project and to make changes to issues on the ground Enacted central changes in communication, responsiveness, recognising success.Reassessed and fedback to the trainees throughout.ResultOur baseline satisfaction survey was completed in June 2020. Trainees their satisfaction for each theme out of 10 and to rank their priorities for change. Results showed satisfaction was lowest in morale and in safety and highest in education and supervision. Their highest priorities for change were safety, then morale, with induction as the lowest priority.We repeated the survey in October 2020. This showed improvements in most themes (apart from induction, perhaps due to induction having to be delivered virtually). Satisfaction in key priority areas of morale and safety increased from 4.53 to 6.37, and 5.12 to 6.70 respectively. We also asked what ‘one thing’ would they improve about their training. Key phrases included teaching, on-call, communication and induction.From this data, and softer feedback from trainees, it is encouraging that we are moving in a positive direction, but we are continuing to make changes.Conclusion•Trainees must be central to the work in improving their training•Using QI methodology helps – developing a structure and breaking down a bigger task helps make a plan•Feedback is key – but people are busy and receive a lot of emails and requests to fill surveys – catching people ‘in person’ (virtually) was the best way to ensure a lot of responses•Trainees have loads of great ideas, but they need support, time and resources to be able to develop their projects and changes•Flexibility is crucial: some topics work better locally, driven by trainees and some require a more coordinated, central roleWe hope that developing a structured approach to a large task like improving training will help make changes sustainable, and enables us to share our learning with others.

A tool which algorithmically traces the effectiveness of the text files would be helpful in determining whether the text file have all the characteristic of important concepts. Every text source is build up on key phrases, and these paramount phrases follow a certain grammatical linguistic pattern widely used. An enormous amount of information can be derived from these key concepts for the further analysis such as their dispersion, relationship among the concepts etc. The relationship among the key concepts can be used to draw a concept graphs. So, this chapter presents a detailed methodologies and technologies which evaluate the effectiveness of the extracted information from text files.

Evidence from 2 Sam 12–20 and related texts is sought to give depth to a portrait of God’s characterisation related to retribution: God can be described as judging and ruling, author of covenant and curse, creator, redistributor of power and possessions, and demonstrating fatherly love. The key phrases ‘evil in the eyes of the LORD’ and ‘favour in the eyes of the LORD’ are examined for insights into God’s interior judgement. Whilst the former suggests impartiality and the latter partiality, both are subjective interior responses of God after David’s actions gain God’s attention and are consistent with God’s covenant relationship with David. External descriptions of God as transcendent and communicating through a prophet are used to develop the divine characterisation further.


The basic issue surrounds whether the law has been broken. We have been told Mary has been charged with theft under s 1 of the Theft Act. We are to assume that the three statements provided containing all of the information in this scenario have been produced just for us to read and work on. For the purposes of this exercise we will assume that these statements were produced in ways not calling into doubt their admissibility or credibility. This means therefore that we only have to concentrate on their probative value. (What do they prove?) The seven point approach of Twining and Miers will be used. 1 Standpoint: the standpoint of the Chart is that of the author of this book demonstrating the Wigmore Chart Method for the purposes of demonstrating the method and argument construction. 2 Stages 2, 3 and 4: relate to setting up the propositions and then key listing and charting. The impossibility of approaching each task in an isolated way is immediately perceived as we are going to work from statements. We have to find out the facts before we can draft the UP, PP, and interim probanda. Task: so that you can appreciate the levels of analysis go back to the statements and highlight the key words and phrases that begin to allow you to break into them and locate the story, and the law. Then try to give answers to the following questions: (1) What are the relevant facts? (2) What key phrases in the statements give you clues as to the application of the law? (3) Can you construct the deductive argument for the prosecution? (4) Can you construct the inductive argument for the prosecution? (5) Can you construct the opposing inductive argument for the defence? (6) Are there any conditions of doubt in your mind surrounding the wording of s1(1) of the Theft Act which may apply? (For example questions surrounding the presence of both mens rea and actus reus.) DO NOT PROCEED UNTIL YOU HAVE ANSWERED QUESTIONS (1)–(6).
