Due to the increasing demand for low power communication in the field of remote control & monitoring, it is necessary to introduce a communication technique to meet the various QoS requirements even in an inferior radio channels. In order to ensure these QoS requirements, we propose a communication technique that applies the channel code, diversity scheme into power-efficient modulation. It makes the radio possible to dramatically improve BER by reducing the uncertainty due to fading channels. A core of proposed communication technique is to maximize the performance gain by adopting diversity technique and channel coding scheme. Diversity gain and channel coding gain further increase the performance difference (gain) between power-efficient modulation and conventional modulation, resulting in a signification BER improvement. By adapting the proposed communication technique it is expected to improve the usability of low-power radio according to the satisfaction of the various QoS requirements.

The recent development in automatic gain control (AGC) of Er-doped fiber amplifier (EDFA) based on the electrical feedback is reviewed briefly. We introduce a AGC method which uses the adaptive PID arithmetic with feedforward to realize gain clamping by automatically optimizing. The experimental results show that the AGC scheme based on DSP has the advantages of relatively low cost ,high reliability and good flexibility due to the potential of using different arithmetic.

Multi-channel speech coding and enhancement is an indispensable technology in speech communication. In order to verify the effectiveness of multi-channel speech coding and enhancement methods in the research and development, a microphone array speech simulator (MASS) used in room acoustic environment is proposed. The proposed MASS is the improvement and extension of the existing multi-channel speech simulator. It aims to simulate clean speech, noisy speech, clean speech with reverberation, noisy speech with reverberation, and noise signals by microphone array used for multi-channel coding and enhancement of speech signal in room acoustic environment. The experimental results of the multi-channel speech coding and enhancement prove that the MASS could well simulate the signals used in real room acoustic environment and can be applied to the research of the related fields.

The concatenation of channel coding and diversity schemes are essential in the 4G communication systems to improve the reliable data rate transmission. To address Bit Error Rate performance enhancement, the paper presents the coding gain and diversity gain benefits using the proposed CTSTC scheme by adding modified Turbo features and Space Time encoding features. Simulation results of are provided using MATLAB and compared the results with convolutional coded Space Time Coding technique.

This paper investigates the problem of frequency doubling with speed measuring radars. The main reason for it is that the gain of the reflected wave receiver cannot cope with all the possible waves reflected by cars of different distances away from the radar. Strong signals will saturate the receiver and generate harmonics which interferes with the speed measuring. Based on this, a harmonic detection and frequency doubling suppression method is developed in this paper and the effectiveness of the method is verified by experimental results.
