Buses are an integral means of conveyance in India. In metropolitan cities like Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai and Delhi, 10-15 million people travel through public transport buses daily. Today, within the era of Digital India (a campaign launched by the govt of India) and Cashless Economy, conveyance must adapt the technology advancement. Even though the general public transport buses are providing fairly satisfactory services, there's a requirement for smart and reliable system. The major problems experienced by the passengers are undue waiting time at bus stops, non-refund of balance, negligence to supply seat to other passengers, etc. Thus, to provide an agile and smooth ticketing experience, we have proposed the smart application that will automatically shows the seat to passenger and mode of payment will be cashless there by promoting digitalization and smart cities initiatives. The user can check the availability of seats. Keyword: Cashless Economy, Public transport, RFID and IOTI.

The aim of the conducted research was to assess how the elderly viewed the functioning of public transport, with Łódź, a large city in Poland, as the example. The data presented in the article originates from research of 400 inhabitants aged 60+ was conducted in the district of Bałuty in Łódź at the turn of November and December 2018. On the basis of the questionnaire survey (which contained questions concerning the use of local public transport by the over 60s for daily journeys and was accomplished by CAPI and MOBI methods) it was found that the over 60s have quite a high opinion of the offer of the municipal transport company MPK (they hardly ever use services of other carriers). As for the means of public transport, the tram is rated slightly higher compared to the bus. The results of the research enable the proposal of general recommendations for the transport policy in Łódź. This policy should be focused to a larger degree on: shortening the waiting time and, consequently, increasing the frequency of connections and punctuality, while continuing to provide high travel comfort, increasing the level of accessibility to stops and enhancing the clarity of information with regard to fare prices and exemptions.

Density and population of bogor that keeps increasing will add the duty of government to provide more public means of mass. Transportation is a vital public facility. Public transport available in Bogor is a city transportation (public transportation) and buses. The existence of a number of public transportation totaling 3,412 units and 30 units of bus has been able to serve the needs of the community in transportation, but in terms of efficiency and comfort are still far from expected. Based on the results of Stated Preference regression models, we concluded that the most efficient mass transportation is city buses, and the most variable priority attribute passengers on a city bus is the bus occupancy, the bus waiting time efficiency, got a seat, bus convenience and cost/ bus rates. So the recommendation that we can give, the problem due to public transport in bogor can be solved by the means of mass transportation such as city buses.
