In this article, we construct a new subclass of analytic functions involving a generalized differential operator and investigate certain properties including the radius of starlikeness, closure properties and integral means result for the class of analytic functions with negative coefficients. Further, the relationship between the results and some known results in literature are also established.

Cultural exchange is an integral means of showing a country’s image. From the perspective of cross-cultural communication, cultural exchange between two countries should be equal and bidirectional. However, at present, a common phenomenon is occurring among many French majors, in which they are unable to portray the Chinese culture accurately in French. This article analyses “Chinese culture aphasia” from three aspects: specific performance, main causes, and corresponding coping strategies.

The chapter analyzes Swedish legislative attempts to challenge pornography production with laws against pimping/procuring. Minority parliamentary motions and the 1993 Prostitution Inquiry’s proposal to extend prostitution laws to cover pornography producers are considered. The 1998 Sexual Crimes Committee’s rejection of this proposal is scrutinized. Its attempts to invoke the legislative history of media antitrust and bankruptcy law, child pornography and child molestation amendments, as well as distinctions between content and underlying criminal conduct, are rebutted by legal analysis based on the primary sources. Furthermore, it is demonstrated that case law on analogous issues disproves the Committee’s position, including decisions on violent resistance and dishonest conduct during artistic film projects, filmed sexual crimes, amateur pornography, and purchasing/possessing illegal weapons as an integral means of otherwise legitimate news reporting. It is concluded that decisions not to apply prostitution laws to pornographers are based on ideology, not law, political ideas, not legislated rules.

Buses are an integral means of conveyance in India. In metropolitan cities like Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai and Delhi, 10-15 million people travel through public transport buses daily. Today, within the era of Digital India (a campaign launched by the govt of India) and Cashless Economy, conveyance must adapt the technology advancement. Even though the general public transport buses are providing fairly satisfactory services, there's a requirement for smart and reliable system. The major problems experienced by the passengers are undue waiting time at bus stops, non-refund of balance, negligence to supply seat to other passengers, etc. Thus, to provide an agile and smooth ticketing experience, we have proposed the smart application that will automatically shows the seat to passenger and mode of payment will be cashless there by promoting digitalization and smart cities initiatives. The user can check the availability of seats. Keyword: Cashless Economy, Public transport, RFID and IOTI.

We use the concept of convolution to introduce and study the properties of a unified family $\mathcal{TUM}_\gamma(g,b,k,\alpha)$, $(0\leq\gamma\leq1,\,k\geq0)$, consisting of uniformly $k$-starlike and $k$-convex functions of complex order $b\in\mathbb{C}\setminus\{0\}$ and type $\alpha\in[0,1)$. The family $\mathcal{TUM}_\gamma(g,b,k,\alpha)$ is a generalization of several other families of analytic functions available in literature. Apart from discussing the coefficient bounds, sharp radii estimates, extreme points and the subordination theorem for this family, we settle down the Silverman's conjecture for integral means inequality. Moreover, invariance of this family under certain well-known integral operators is also established in this paper. Some previously known results are obtained as special cases.

Ecological field techniques such as transect surveys are long-used, integral means of immersing students in field exercises to illustrate ecological measures. Many species of crayfish create conspicuous burrows within or near aquatic habitats. Such burrows can easily be identified and measured by students during an ecological field exercise. In this article, we describe a field activity we developed as part of a college-level course in which students utilized transects and calipers to collect counts and measurements of crayfish burrows in order to evaluate their distribution and size among different substratum types along a small stream. This field exercise could be incorporated, with or without modification, into an applicable high school or introductory/intermediate college biology course as a means of illustrating ecological concepts, sampling technique, and/or behavioral biology.

The generation of empirical evidence to explain offending by children and young people has been a central driver of criminological and sociological research for more than two centuries. Across the international field of youth justice, empirical research evidence has become an integral means of complementing and extending the knowledge and understanding of offending offered by the official enquiries and data collection of professional stakeholders and an essential tool for informing ‘evidence-based’ policy, practice and ‘effective intervention’. However, it will be argued that the hegemonic empirical evidence-base created by youth justice research over the past two decades has been generated through methodological reductionism - the oversimplification of complexity, the restriction of conceptual lens and the relative exclusion of competing explanatory paradigms and empirical methodologies, which in turn, has reduced the scope and validity of the policy and practice recommendations derived from it.
