Due to the large volume of data they manage, Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) are perfect targets for cyber attackers. University networks are open in design, decentralized and multi-user, making them vulnerable to cyber-attacks. The purpose of this research paper was to identify which is the recommended cyber security strategy and how comprehensive are these studies, within HEIs. The method proposed by Kitchenham was used, focused on the information community. Thus, the following results can be communicated: researchers recommend their own security strategies, because the standards analysed in the papers are not oriented on HEIs, and require important adjustments to be implemented. Most scientific papers do not describe risk management process. The implementation phases are also insufficiently analysed. The functions that the strategy addressed by HEIs should fulfill include identification, protection and detection. The validation methods used in the preimplementation and post-implementation phases are case studies and surveys. Most researchers recommend as final cyber security strategy IT Governance and security policies. The field of research has proved to be very interesting, the researches could contribute to the creation of a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy, focused on the specifics of HEIs, efficient, easy to implement and cost-effective.

Assessment is an integral aspect of teaching and learning in an academic institution. It provides the primary information based on to make several decisions by the different stakeholders. The vital nature of this information makes assessment an expensive venture. Educational institutions incur a lot of costs in administration of these assessments and yet they are financially struggling to meet their budgets.  However, low-cost strategies are available to bring about authentic assessment of learners. Consequently, this article presents findings about adoption of low-cost assessment strategies in financially constrained higher education institutions. Specifically, the study was conducted in teacher education pedagogy at one of the public universities in Uganda to establish the adopted low-cost assessment strategies. A qualitative research approach based on a descriptive study design was used to investigate this study. Data was collected using observation, interview and documentary review methods. Study findings established use of presentations, hands-on exercises, peer assessment, tests, drama and take-home assignments as the low-cost assessment strategies adopted by individual lecturers in higher education institutions in Uganda. It was concluded that the adopted low-cost assessment strategies in resource-constrained institutions have the potential to nurture 21st century citizens. And therefore, a recommendation for university-wide adoption of low-cost assessment strategies was suggested to management of higher education institutions in resource-constrained countries.

Choice of profession is a social phenomenon that every person has to face in life. Numerous studies convince us that not only the well-being of a person depends on the chosen work, but also his attitude to himself and life in general, therefore, the right and timely professional choice is very important. Research about factors of career self-determination of students of higher education institutions in Ukraine shows that self-determination is an important factor in the socialization of young person, and the factors that determine students' career choices become an actual problem of nowadays. The present study involved full-time and part-time students of Institute of Philology and Mass Communications of Open International University of Human Development "Ukraine" in order to examine the factors of career self-determination of students of higher education institutions (N=189). Diagnostic factors of career self-determination of students studying in the third and fourth year were carried out using the author's questionnaire. Processing of obtained data was carried out using the Excel 2010 program; factorial and comparative analysis were applied. Results of the study showed that initial stage of career self-determination falls down on the third and fourth studying year at the university, when an image of future career and career orientations begin to form. At the same time, the content of career self-determination in this period is contradictory and uncertain, therefore, the implementation of pedagogical support of this process among students is effective.

This study aims to analyze the effect of reputation, competence on customer loyalty with customer satisfaction as an intervening variable. The population in this study were students of private tertiary institutions in Central Java who are members of Services for Higher Education Institutions Region VI, while a sample of 5 private universities, using the purposive sampling method, was taken with the Slovin formula of 190 respondents. The analysis technique uses regression analysis. Research results show the customer satisfaction variable can be an intervening variable or able to mediate between the direct influence of the reputation variable and the competency variable on customer loyalty variables.
