The purpose of this paper is to explore the factors to develop creativity for building a learning organization. Methods of developing creativity from a quality CEO have also been investigated. This paper draws conclusions from a qualitative content analysis with reporting on the CEO of Apple in 2011 to identify the key factors for a quality CEO to develop creativity. After reviewing literature on leadership, management, quality, learning organization and carry out content analysis of reporting on Apple CEO, it has been found that individual attributes – persistence, observation, passion and belief; and perception of task – value creation and target customer education affect the success of strategy implementation in product innovation. An environment with freedom and culture is needed for creativity; and involved parties need to enjoy the implementation process with a spirit of innovation. Though the findings are of managerial relevant to business management, validation of the model with quantitative data is required for a holistic view of building a sustainable learning organization. The ultimate output of the paper is a model of developing creativity for a learning organization. Therefore, management of organizations shall consider these findings when motivating staff to develop creativity. The paper details the elements for developing creativity in a learning organization; and this is important for the sustainability of different kinds of organizations in the business world

This study aimed to evaluate the effect of components of participative leadership style on the academic performance of students at the University of Tehran, Iran. This descriptive and correlational research was performed on 43 senior managers of the university selected through random cluster sampling using the Morgan table. In addition, data were collected applying the standard questionnaire of ‘are we making progress?’ by Malcolm Baldrige. Moreover, data analysis was performed using Pearson’s correlation coefficient. The test results confirmed the majority of the research hypotheses. The organisation can provide mutual trust and respect between senior leaders and faculty members of the university and, thereby, improve academic performance of students by creating a suitable environment for applying supportive and participative leadership in the university. This study aims to find out about the effectiveness of leadership management and its influence, in order to create good governance, in the work environment of regency/city governments in Banten Province. Leadership has a very strategic and important role in creating a government that supports good governance. Therefore, education and training for leaders are needed to strengthen their leadership management in each institution. This study uses a quantitative survey type approach. This study uses a quantitative approach with survey. Data collection techniques carried out through; observation, interview, documentation, and questionnaire. The questionnaire was tested to test the validity, reliability and objectivity of the instrument, with the total item correlation technique which is the basis of the Pearson correlation. The results obtained were seven interval classes with the highest significance acquisition at grade interval 4 (32.50%) and the lowest at grade interval 7 (2.50%). The survey instrument includes 4 aspects of implementation, 1) mentoring, 2) reviewing, 3) evaluation, and 4) monitoring. The results showed that it is very important to conduct training in order to improve management quality. The government has assessment guidelines for leaders who will take leadership training

Abstract: This study aims to show the application of the strategy and Madrasah leadership management towards quality improvement of education. The location of the study was conducted at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Yogyakarta (MAN 1 Yogyakarta). This type of research is a qualitative descriptive and data collection method is done by non-participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The result shown that the head of madrasah had applied strategic steps towards quality improvement of education. The priority in teachers’ training to improve their skill and learning process among students in three domains; academic, tahfidz and research. In optimizing these steps madrasah collaborates with education stakeholders, universities, training centers, academics and the community to provide guidance and assistance in improving the learning process in the internal madrasah. Besides the head of the madrasah manage activities by distributing responsibilities to each field in the madrasah organization. In addition, the relationship between the headmaster and its member are built through an intensive dialogical approach and open communication with the aim that works can be carried out together in order to improve the quality of education. Lokasi penelitian dilakukan di Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Yogyakarta (MAN 1 Yogyakarta). Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dan metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi non partisipan, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa langkah-langkah strategis yang dilakukan kepala madrasah dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan berupa prioritas pada kegiatan pelatihan terhadap guru untuk meningkatkan skil mereka, dan prioritas peningkatan proses pembelajaran di kalangan siswa dalam tiga ranah yaitu akademis, tahfidz, dan riset. Dalam optimalisasi langkah-langkah tersebut pihak madrasah melakukan kerja sama dengan para stakeholders pendidikan, yakni perguruan tinggi, balai pelatihan, akademisi dan masyarakat guna memberi bimbingan dan pendampingan dalam meningkatkan proses pembelajaran di internal madrasah. Sementara pengendalian yang dilakukan kepala madrasah terhadap aktivitas kerja dengan cara mendistribusikan tanggung jawab terhadap masing-masing bidang dalam organisasi madrasah. Di samping itu hubungan kepala madrasah dengan bawahan dibangun dengan pendekatan dialogis dan keterbukaan komunikasi yang intensif dengan tujuan agar aktivitas kerja dapat dilakukan secara bersama-sama dalam rangka meningkatkan mutu pendidikan.  Kata Kunci: Strategi, Pengendalian, Kepemimpinan, Mutu Pendidikan, Madrasah.
