Materials and Methods. Published articles on the opioid abuse and methods of opioid detoxification were identified by searching medical databases, using corresponding literature and were also searched manually for applicable papers. The search was limited to articles published from 1985 through 2014. Results. Opioid dependence determine pathophysiologic changes in the dopaminergic pathways of the organism, as well as the alterations in the stress-responsive hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis. The usage of opioid antagonists in the early stages of withdrawal, can lead the effectiveness of opioid detoxification to 100%. Rapid opioid detoxification do not remove all the symptoms of abstinence. Negative aspects, concerning the procedure, while using prevention, can be reduced to the minimum risk. Rapid opioid detoxification, comparing it with Ultrarapid opioid detoxification procedure, diverges as less financial resources and a lower risk containing technique. Conclusions. Use of antagonists may reduce the duration of withdrawal, thus reducing the overall severity of withdrawal and increasing the chances of successful completion. This technique facilitates commencement of naltrexone treatment. Dosing regimens used in clinical trials vary. Subsequent results do not correlate with the methods of detoxification.

Successful completion of cytokinesis relies on addition of new membrane, and requires the recycling endosome regulator Rab11, which localizes to the midzone. Despite the critical role of Rab11 in this process, little is known about the formation and composition of Rab11-containing organelles. Here, we identify the phosphatidylinositol (PI) 4-kinase III β Four wheel drive (Fwd) as a key regulator of Rab11 during cytokinesis in Drosophila melanogaster spermatocytes. We show Fwd is required for synthesis of PI 4-phosphate (PI4P) on Golgi membranes and for formation of PI4P-containing secretory organelles that localize to the midzone. Fwd binds and colocalizes with Rab11 on Golgi membranes, and is required for localization of Rab11 in dividing cells. A kinase-dead version of Fwd also binds Rab11 and partially restores cytokinesis to fwd mutant flies. Moreover, activated Rab11 partially suppresses loss of fwd. Our data suggest Fwd plays catalytic and noncatalytic roles in regulating Rab11 during cytokinesis.

For the coming ten years, the heart of Europe will turn into a gigantic construction site for works on one of the largest hubs of the continent: Antwerp. The Oosterweel Link is the project whereby the motorway ring around Antwerp is undergoing a metamorphosis to reinvigorate traffic flow and add living space to the City. The project had come to a standstill for several years as a result of protests by assertive citizens, but was given a second lease of life following a large-scale participation project.

To ensure its successful completion, unparalleled efforts are being made in the field and in the area of digitization. It is therefore with good reason that in Belgium the project is referred to as “the construction site of the century”.

The study aims to highlight the current learning approaches used by postgraduate students to complete their postgraduate studies on time, as studies have shown many students have failed to finish their studies as planned. In particular, this study focuses on factors and methods that are perceived to be most effective by students to help them complete their studies on time. Methodology: Thisstudy was based on a qualitative approach involving semi-structured interviews. The study sample consisted of 14 postgraduate students and one lecturers as respondents. The research instrument was based on interview questions to elicit relevant information on their demography and learning practices. Data were collected and organized into four themes and were subsequently analyzed descriptively. Findings: The findings showed that face-to-face discussions were the most popular practice adopted by the respondents. The findings also showed several factors had significant impacts on student learning, such as interpersonal relationships between students and supervisors, commitment, financial commitment, and moral support, which needs to be taken into account in helping students to complete on time. Significance: The research findings can inform all the stakeholders, notably students, supervisors, and administrative officers, factors that have profound impacts on postgraduate students’ efforts to graduate on time.

Intubation of a critically ill patient in the emergency department is always considered a difficult airway. Timing, patient factors which are not optimized, and intubation done by infrequent intubators. Add to this the complications and demands of Covid 19 pandemic which make crash intubations a thing feared for personal safety as well as successful completion of intubation without complications. If the patient has intrinsic comorbid conditions contributing to a difficult airway, worse the procedure would be. Furthermore, Covid pneumonia presents its own challenges in preoxygenation, timing of the intubation, ventilation of the patient and transport as well. This is a patient I came across during the third wave of covid19 pandemic in Sri Lanka, working in the Emergency department night shift. He came in acute respiratory distress and required intubation and ventilation.

The key problems of nation- and state-building are revealed in the concept of the chronotope of the Ukrainian “long twentieth century,” which is a hybrid projection of the “long nineteenth century.” An essential feature of this stage in the history of Ukraine and Ukrainians is the realization of the intentions of socioeconomic, ethnocultural and political emancipation: in fact, the end of the Ukrainian revolution, which began in the context of World War I and the destruction of the colonial system. The third book tells about the contradictions of post-Soviet transit. The three modern revolutions, the development of “oligarchic republics,” the subjectivization of Ukraine in the world through self-awareness of the European choice are visible manifestations of the final stage of the century-old Ukrainian revolution and anti-colonial liberation war. The essential transformations of the Ukrainian project are understood in the broad optics of post-totalitarian transit, the successful completion of which now rules for the national idea of Ukraine. For a wide audience.
