With the emergence of the learning materials volume, the developer has to face many challenges to develop an effective and efficient application to support the learning process. The objective of this study is to evaluate usability of Virtual Umrah application based on expert views using User-Centered Design approach. User-Centered Design is a multi-stages process that requires the designers to analyze and verify the requirement of a user by involving the user throughout the whole processes. The findings of the usability evaluations are for errors, efficiency and satisfaction level, the individual mean score is 4.00, 4.20 and 4.40. While for the memorability and learnability component, the mean score for the items are below than 4.00 which are 3.80 and 3.70 respectively. These findings demonstrate that the developed application is significantly needed by the pilgrims and individuals in order to assist them in preparation and performing Umrah.

Abstrak:Keberadaan sebuah aplikasi pembelajaran sangat membantu guru dan juga siswa dalam prosespembelajaran. Aplikasi pembelajaran yang berbasis multimedia lebih komprehensif dan efektif karenamencakup banyak elemen, seperti teks, grafik, audio, video atau animasi. Untuk merancang sebuahaplikasi dibutuhkan sebuah konsep yang tepat agar aplikasi tersebut dapat tepat sesuai dengankebutuhan para penggunanya. UCD (User Centered Design) merupakan sebuah konsep pendekatanuntuk merancang dasar dari proses informasi terhadap orang-orang yang akan menggunakan produk.Proses UCD fokus pada pengguna melalui perencanaan, desain dan pengembangan produk. UCDberperan menentukan kesesuaian tampilan aplikasi dengan karakteristik pengguna. Dalam hal ini, harusdilakukan pengumpulan data terhadap pengguna aplikasi dengan berbagai metode, yaitu wawancara,observasi dan kuesioner. Penulisan ini bertujuan merancang aplikasi multimedia pembelajaran Iqro’yang memberikan materi belajar, soal bermain serta fitur buku Iqro’ digital menggunakan konsep UCD.Hasil dari rancangan aplikasi ini adalah mampu memberikan tingkat kepuasan dan kebergunaan(usability) aplikasi tersebut.Kata Kunci : Iqro’, Multimedia, UCD (User Centered Design), Usability.ABSTRACT:A learning application is very helpful for teachers and students in learning process. Designing a learningapplication with multimedia based is more comprehensive and effective because consist of some elementssuch as text, graphic, audio, video or animation. The application design process need a right concept so itis suitable with the user need. UCD (User Centered Design) is an approach concept to make the base ofinformation process for the user to be. UCD process focused on user by the planning, design, and productdevelopment. UCD determine the suitable of application appearance with the user characteristics. In thiscase, a collecting data activity about the application user is a must with several methods such asinterview, obervation, and questionary. This research is purposed to design the Iqro’ learning multimediaapplication which provide learning content, playing questions and digital Iqro’ book fiture using UCDconcept. The result of this application is ability to provide satisfaction level and the useful (usability) ofthe application.Keyword: Iqro’, Multimedia, UCD (User Centered Design), Usability.

Business Placement Center membantu mengelola website alumni dalam memenuhi kebutuhan alumni salah satunya memberikan informasi mengenai lowongan pekerjaan. Website Alumni Amikom sudah memberikan informasi mengenai lowongan pekerjaan. Namun website alumni masih perlu ditambahkan fitur-fitur menu penunjang dalam mempermudah pencarian informasi pekerjaan yang sesuai keinginan pengguna. Penggunaan metode User Centered Design untuk mempermudah pengguna dalam menggunakan fasilitas yang ada pada website ketika mencari informasi lowongan pekerjaan dan pengguna berperan penting dalam setiap proses UCD. Dengan pendekatan User Centered Design diharapkan dapat menghasilkan tampilan dan fungsionalitas yang maksimal pada rancangan sistem yang dibangun sehingga sesuai dengan kebutuhan pengguna. Metode penelitian yang dilakukan yaitu observasi, wawancara dan kuesioner untuk mengetahui kebutuhan pengguna. Analisis dan perancangan menggunakan pendekatan User Centered Design dan implementasi perancangan sistem. Hasil penelitiannya adalah pengguna merasa nyaman dengan tampilan antarmuka website yang sudah dibangun, informasi yang disajikan mudah dipahami dan fitur-fitur menu sudah berhasil berjalansesuai fungsi.Business Placement Center help manage the website for the needs of alumnus one of them is to provide information on a vacancy. The alumnus website’s provides information about job vacancy. The website still need the support to facilitate the searching all the features the work in accordance with what the use. The method of user centered design to make it easy for users in the use of the existing facilities at the website while searching for information a vacancy and users play an important role in any proses UCD. User Centered Design approach is expected to produce the interface and functionality maximal built in the system so that in accordance with the need of users. Research methodology was by observation, interviews and quesionnaires to find out the need of users. Analysis and design using UCD approach and implementation of the system. The results of research is users feel comfortable with a display interface of website which have been built, the information is easily understood and menu features has been successfully run a function.

Abstract User-centered design relies upon the appreciation that assistive technology device solutions need to include the functional and supra-functional (e.g., emotional, social, cultural) needs of users. Developing solutions without basing decision-making on both quantitative (functional) and qualitative (supra-functional) needs can lead to imbalanced devices, services, and/or environments. Satisfying both functional and supra-functional needs is the foundation of user-centered design, which in itself relies upon empathic understanding of the person that one is aiming to serve. This paper presents a study of the lived experiences of people living with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, their caregivers, and members of the healthcare management team from a human-centered perspective in the pursuit of pain points, deeper understanding of the emotional needs, and revelation of opportunities for improving quality of life and human experience through more user-centered design. We focus on user-centered design-thinking research tools (e.g., mood boards, journey maps, personas) to (a) understand the authentic experience of the individual in their vernacular and their terminology, and (b) to support a data rich conversation that focuses upon both functional and supra-functional needs to highlight opportunities for design interventions).
