USER NEED-ORIENTED CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT OF AUTONOMOUS VEHICLES

Vehicle concept development is a domain that has applied and detailed its process over decades. The megatrends of the 21st century of “automation” and “sharing” influence the vehicle concept in such a manner that this well-running process needs an update. The vehicle itself and the customer of the vehicle are changing and therefore the components of the vehicle and the input variables of the useroriented design of the vehicle concept must be changed as well. We present a development process for autonomous vehicle concepts to address these challenges. We are therefore analyzing the current definition of a vehicle concept and its development process. Based on a literature review of a selection of common design methodologies, we update this definition for autonomous vehicle concepts and present a development process that presents design concepts of autonomous vehicle in a user need oriented way. This includes the sharing of models since user needs could be fulfilled by more than one vehicle concept. We believe that the presented process can be a starting point for vehicle concept development of the 21st century.

Local bodies like municipalities need collect different kind of taxes from the citizens. Every citizen need to pay Water Bills and Electricity Bills to the particular authorities. Actually a citizen want to pay his municipal tax means he should go to municipal office and collect the necessary bill, pay there only. Same as water and electricity bills. This is not an easy job to get all these tax information in different authorities now days. For that purpose we are developing this application, which can collect the tax information from different authorities based on the house no’s and owner name by using web services and stores the data in our own database. For getting the information regarding taxes citizens need to register first. The bill are calculating on different modes like annual, half yearly, quarterly etc... By using the user id and password citizens can log into the system and collect the necessary information from the home page. For this every user need to provide his house no and owner name. By clicking on the search button they will get their own. The smart city is equipped with the electronic circuitry where the weight of the garbage in the bin is measured and the value is updated in the database. The database of the families will be created and maintained by the municipality. A web portal gives the involved people and authorities access to the related information. A house is penalized for every kilogram more than the allotted garbage weight limit. Further enhancements are explored. Thus, the residents are incentivized to produce lesser waste.

Biometric Based Exam Gate Authentication System with SMS Alert

In today’s world Biometrics authentication plays a vital role in organization, company, colleges and institutions. Security within the examination hall is one of the foremost repetitive issues. To maintain attendance verification is a sophisticated and time-consuming process, this biometric will help in maintaining attendance and security in the examination hall. This advanced authentication system is made for identifying candidates and granting access to them. After turning on the system, the project will first initialize GSM. It will then ask the admin to call in order to register the number of admin, after successful registration SMS feedback is given, a user need to enroll fingerprint of candidates. After enrolling fingerprint user can start the system, authorized person can scan fingers then the door opens and an SMS is sent to the admin notifying him about the candidate. And if the user is an un-authorized person and tries to access, the system doesn’t provide access and after a 3rd failed attempt an SMS is sent to the admin notifying him/ her about the same. Using this system teacher need not to take any separate attendance of students, which saves the time which is lost while taking the manual attendance. And also the security of students is maintained. There might occur two students of same name which may cause mistake if one is absent, here finger print sensor plays vital role because finger print is unique for everyone. Because this mistake can be prevented.

Penerapan Metode Dempster Shafer Untuk Sistem Deteksi Gangguan Kecemasan Obsessive Compulsive Disorder Berbasis Web

Obsessive Compulsive disorder or OCD is a type of anxiety disorder that makes someone wasting so much time in doing the same things reccurently. it cause distress and significant impairment. This anxiety disorder will becoming worse if someone didn't realize and get psychologist help. An expert system that diagnose OCD would be the initial step of detection, so this disorder can be handled sooner. By implementing Dempster Shafer method, this expert system produce percentage value of someone having this disorder, based on the inputted symptons. If the result more than 60%, the user need a psychologist's treatment before it coming worse. The system is web based, so it is handy to access.

Linking Armed Forces Leavers to 2011 Census

IntroductionThe aim of this project was to meet a user need for more data on those who have served, and now left, the UK armed forces (service leavers) to support commitments under the Armed Forces Covenant. We explored the feasibility of linking the Veteran Leavers Database (VLD) held by the Ministry of Defence (MoD) to 2011 Census data held by the Office for National Statistics (ONS), Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency (NISRA). Objectives and ApproachThe Census for England, Wales and Northern Ireland consisted of a total number of 56 million records. The Ministry of Defence (MoD) provided the Veteran Leavers Database (VLD) which contained two million records of individuals who have left the armed forces since 1971. Postcode information was not available for this linkage, therefore a bespoke set of matchkeys was created and clerical review was carried out to determine the best set of recommended matchkeys. The linkage was carried out within the secure linkage environment using pseudonymised data to protect the identities of individuals within these datasets. Results53% of all VLD records linked to a Census record on one of the recommended matchkeys. Further quality analysis was carried out on the linkage rates by different years of exit which showed that, after 1975, the rate of matched records improved the closer the VLD entry was to Census year. Conclusion / ImplicationsONS have concluded that whilst there is value in the administrative datasets on service leavers, it only partially meets the user need. A census question has been developed and tested on service leavers and it has been concluded that such a question will work. ONS therefore now intending to recommend inclusion of this topic in the 2021 Census.

Expert System is Computer Based system which adopting the expert skill to solve the problem base on the expert. This system is very suitable to solve the problem because with expert system, the user can know the machine damage and know how to fix this machine. And this sistem can be useful for user.with forward Chaining method. And the purpose from this research to make an expert system to analize the problem which can be realize from the machine’s operational dan fix it. Keadaan ini membuat kondisi mesin menjadi turun dan mudah mengalami kerusakan. Mesin fotokopi merupakan salah satu mesin yang kompleks yang saling berhubungan satu sama lain, sehingga perlu penanganan ahli dalam memperbaikinya. Keterbatasan jumlah teknisi membuat mesin yang rusak lama untuk diperbaiki, sehingga diperlukan sebuah sistem yang dapat menggantikan posisi pakar dalam memperbaiki mesin fotokopi. Sistem pakar merupakan sistem yang berbasis komputer yang mengadopsi cara kerja pakar dalam menganalisa suatu masalah dengan metode yang telah disesuaikan dengan masalah yang ada, berdasarkan masalah yang telah dijabarkan diatas. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah bagaimana menciptakan sebuah aplikasi sistem pakar dengan metode forward chaining untuk menganalisa kerusakan mesin dan memberikan solusi untuk memperbaiki mesin fotokopi tersebut. Enhanced Intelligent Automated Method to MSRCR Algorithm for Image Enhancement

The images captured by a camera may need tweaking based on the lighting situations present at the scene captured. The extremities in the lighting and the position of the object may sometime degrade the image captured. To have a right image all the time this concept was developed. This paper focuses on the automated procedure which rides over the Multi Scale Retinex with Colour Restoration Algorithm for best possible results. This is a completely automated approach where the user need not do anything apart from giving the image as the input. The main problems in photography are overcome to a great extent using this procedure.
