The aim of this study is to examine dominant hand usage and detect the injury regions in racket sports. A total of 98 athletes, of which 37 (37.8%) are female, 61 (62.2%) are male, studying at 11 different universities and attending competitions with schools teams with an average age of 21.11±1.66, height of 1.71±0.08 cm, weight of 64.92±10.85 kg, and BMI of 22.00±2.41(kg/m2) have participated in the study. When it comes to the distribution of the athletes by branches, the sample consists of 22 table tennis players, 24 badminton players, 25 tennis players and 27 squash players. The "Edinburgh Inventory Hand Preference Survey" was used as a data collection tool to determine the hand preferences of the athletes. In the determination of sports injuries suffered by athletes, the Cornell Musculoskeletal Discomfort Questionnaire was administered. There are significant differences between the lefty and righty athletes in terms of injuries in the left shoulder, left wrist and right lower leg regions when the injury regions in racket sports are compared by hand preferences (p<0.05). It is seen that the injuries that occur in right forearm, left wrist and the right upper leg regions of the athletes of racket sports differ according to branches (p<0.05). When the injury regions are examined according to hand preferences, it is seen that the injuries in the left shoulder, left wrist and lower right leg regions occur more in lefty athletes in comparison to righty athletes. When the relationship between the injury region regions and sports branches is examined, it can be argued that table tennis players suffer more frequent injuries in the left wrist compared to the players of other branches.

Table tennis has a broad mass base in our country and is a sport suitable for all ages. It has achieved outstanding results in the international arena and has become our country’s traditional advantage. To engage in professional table tennis, table tennis players are required to have good physical quality. However, table tennis is actually a high-intensity, high-skills sport. It has a very large impact on the main power-generating parts and joints of the athlete’s body. Soldiers and ball players often suffer from sports injuries. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out the nutrition corresponding supplements and targeted training. Therefore, the experimental group members were supplemented with nutritious food to distinguish the control group. The operation steps and experimental principle of this method are provided in detail in this article. Based on the above test scheme, a comparative experiment has been done and a number of physiological tests on the two groups of sports have been carried out. It includes the statistical analysis of athletes’ body composition changes after the experiment and the comparative analysis of body composition before and after nutrition intervention in the experimental group. Analysis of experimental data shows that nutritional food can improve the physical indicators of table tennis players and enhance the overall health evaluation coefficient.

The focus of this research was to investigate how maximum torque and muscle forces were affected by pronation and supination, i.e., inward and outward rotation of the forearm in a series of screwdriver tests with 6 varied handles. Consecutively, maximum torque for pronation and supination was determined, submaximum isometric levels of torque were demanded, and, finally, an equal dynamic screwing work for all subjects was simulated. Physiological cost of performance was simultaneously measured by registrations of electromyographic activities (EA) from 4 muscles, which were expected to be involved intensively in screwing tasks. Significant and essential differences between maximum torque values produced by pronation and supination of the right and the left arm of the mainly right-handed subjects were found. For clockwise work, as it is necessary e.g., for driving in screws, inward rotations (pronations) of the nondominant hand are at least as strong as outward rotations of the dominant hand. Differences of about 8% favour of pronations were found. Yet, for counter clockwise work involved e.g., in removing a tightened screw, inward rotations of the dominant hand yielded a much more stronger torque strength than outward rotations of the nondominant hand. Differences of more than 50% right-handed subjects were measured. Also, EA values of the 4 muscles monitored on the right arm differed significantly. Systematically operational and physiological differences due to the varied screwdriver grips, as results of investigations which were not the main objective of the study, corresponded well with the findings of prior studies.
