In order to transmit temperature and smoke signals timely and accurately in the fire alarm system of community, design one kind of wireless fire detection and alarm system, which is based on the wireless communication technology, ZigBee. When acquisition module receive the signals which come from the wireless data acquisition module which connected the room with temperature detection module, and then, send to the nearest backbone transceiver module, the defined center module receive the signals, at last, the signals are local-stored or transferred to fire center by GPRS. This design with the characters of low price, high efficiency and reliable, has a certain market.

To improve the intelligent management of the library, on the basis of manual and information management, new technologies were combined to design RFID wireless network with WSN consisting of nodes. Three modules of literature search positioning system, book whole frame system and automatic borrowing and returning door guard alarm system were mainly explored. The intelligent library system based on WSN and RFID used advanced RFID and ZigBee technology for the optimization and integration of literature resources, service process and management mode of the library. The library automation and intelligent interaction were realized and the concept of people-oriented was given full play to the maximum. The results showed that the intelligent library system based on WSN and RFID could basically realize the intelligent library management. To sum up, the system creates a random library service and management system at anytime and anywhere.

The paper put forward a detail design of the out-of-position alarm system based on ZigBee technology and communication chip CC2430 to protect valuables from leaving safe position. It introduced the hardware and software design of the system, implemented short-range wireless communication, established the functional relationship between received signal strength indication (RSSI) and wireless communication distance, solved the problem of multipath fading by software method. Then it presented a series of experiments to prove the system can steadily communicate information to meet security requirement.

This article aims to investigate the creation of space and sound in artistic and architectural fields, with particular emphasis on the notions of interval and duration in the production and experience of soundscapes. The discussion arises out of an ongoing research project concerning sonic structures in public places, in which Japanese uguisubari ([Formula: see text]) – ‘nightingale flooring’, an alarm system from the Edo period) plays a key role in developing new kinds of site-specific and location-responsive sonic architectural structures for urban and rural environments. This paper takes uguisubari as its frame for investigating and evaluating how sounds create a space (however temporary), and how that sound in turn is created through movement. It thus seeks to unpick aspects of the reciprocal and performative act in which participant and the space engage through movement, whilst creating a sonic environment that permeates, defines and composes the boundaries of this space. The article will develop a framework for these kinds of works through a discussion on walking, movement, soundscape and somatechnical aspects of our experience of the world, drawing upon the work of Merleau-Ponty, Bergson and the Japanese concept of Ma (space-time).
