Prayer is one of the most important aspects of religious/spiritual life. The psychological literature has identified various types of prayer and a few methods for measuring it. The Multidimensional Prayer Inventory (MPI) has received much attention from researchers since it allows for the capture of the most universal forms of prayer, characteristic of the Judeo-Christian tradition: Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, Supplication, and Reception. The aim of this article was to examine psychometric properties and clinical applications of the Polish MPI. In four studies, we established the internal structure of the MPI using Principal Component Analysis (PCA, study 1) and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA, study 2), examined its validity and reliability in relation to religiousness (study 3), and analysed its clinical application (study 4). The Polish MPI has been confirmed as a reliable and valid measure of five types of prayer for use in research settings.

PurposeThe research aims to addresses the limitations of previous literature regarding choosing the appropriate conceptualization of trust (i.e. interpersonal trust or system trust) and the role of design aesthetics in generating system trust and intention to adopt mobile banking.Design/methodology/approachThe research conducts two studies. Study 1 determines the degree of humanness in a mobile banking application. Study 2 tests the research model. A total of 261 respondents participate in Study 1 and 491 in Study 2. Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) (study 1) and SmartPLS (PLS software) (study 2) are used to test the hypotheses.FindingsStudy 1 establishes that the mobile banking application is perceived to have low humanness. Thus, it is expected that system trust is more appropriate to use than interpersonal trust. Study 2 demonstrates that (i) system trust is more useful than interpersonal trust in the mobile banking context and (ii) design aesthetics positively influences consumer system trust and intention to adopt.Originality/valueTo the best of the authors' knowledge, the current research is the first to distinguish empirically between system trust and interpersonal trust and identify the best choice of mobile banking trust type. Specifically, the study determined the choice of system trust for mobile banking through a priori humanness measures and validated this choice by measuring both system trust and interpersonal trust, which has not been done before. In addition, retail banking should consider the influence of design aesthetics on consumer trust and incorporate elements that enhance consumers' opinions about the mobile banking application's functionality, reliability and helpfulness.

Brand identity is a unique characteristic of a brand. Brand identity can be seen in the form of symbols, visuals, and physical representations that serve to make it easier for consumers to recognize a brand. Over the time, brand identity has become much more important and noticed. Therefore there is a demand for a brand to make changes. These changes were made to defend against extreme market developments. This process is known as rebranding, which will produce a reconstructed brand identity to compete in a new market. Corporate rebranding has become a common practice to adapt to changes in the micro and macro environment. With the increasing number of successful organizations after implementing corporate rebranding, it creates interest in the academic world, especially in universities. Therefore, the author emphasizes this application study to raise the topic of "Designing a Creative Rebranding Strategy for the Information Systems Bachelor Program". In this rebranding design stage, the research uses the ADDIE development method (Analyzing, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The output of this design will be used by Batam International University Information Systems Bachelor Program on youtube and instagram. With the implementation of this design, it will provide an identity that can reflect the new characteristics of the Batam International University Information Systems Bachelor Program.

Data-driven methods—particularly machine learning techniques—are expected to play a key role in the headway of Industry 4.0. One increasingly popular application in this context is when anomaly detection is employed to test manufactured goods in assembly lines. In this work, we compare supervised, semi/weakly-supervised, and unsupervised strategies to detect anomalous sequences in video samples which may be indicative of defective televisions assembled in a factory. We compare 3D autoencoders, convolutional neural networks, and generative adversarial networks (GANs) with data collected in a laboratory. Our methodology to simulate anomalies commonly found in TV devices is discussed in this paper. We also propose an approach to generate anomalous sequences similar to those produced by a defective device as part of our GAN approach. Our results show that autoencoders perform poorly when trained with only non-anomalous data—which is important because class imbalance in industrial applications is typically skewed towards the non-anomalous class. However, we show that fine-tuning the GAN is a feasible approach to overcome this problem, achieving results comparable to those of supervised methods.
