<pre>There are several differences between the two types of alarm systems, conventional systems and addressable systems. It is important to carefully determine the introduction of a fire alarm system according to the installation environment. Talking about the main difference relates to how the connected device communicates with the main control panel by sending a signal. Cost is another factor that can be a determinant of your chosen fire alarm system. In this paper, we proposed smart addressable fire detection system. In the proposed system, <span>IoT</span> was used and the network was constructed using <span>ZigBee</span> module. In the configured network, it consists of a local server and a control server. The local server controls the addressing sensor and sends the information obtained from the sensor to the control server. The control server receives data transmitted from the local server and enables quick fire action. In the actual implementation, the local server used the Lycra controller and <span>ZigBee</span> module. In addition, the control server used the Raspberry Pi and <span>ZigBee</span> modules and connected to the Ethernet so that the administrator could monitor or control the local server.</pre>

Abstract: The design of a fire alarm with Arduino-based system by means of GSM Module. The work purposely for house safety where the main point is to avoid the fire accidents occurred to the residents and the properties inside the house. In order to prevent losses accrued from fire accidents, various alarm systems have been developed such as smoke detectors, temperature sensor based systems etc. The design and implementation of a cost effective and reliable GSM based SMS Alert fire alarm system. The device will be able to monitor the temperature of the environment, the smoke level, send SMS alert to an inbuilt GSM number. When the system detects the temperature of 100C or more, it will immediately display an alert notification on LCD display and simultaneously sending an SMS alert to the users upon the high raise temperature in the house. This fire detection system consists of a smoke sensor, buzzer, LCD display and GSM module is interfaced with Arduino board. Keywords: Smoke sensor, GSM Module, Arduino, LED display, Buzzer

The Korean government has announced the construction of more than 310 hydrogen refueling stations by 2022 to establish a hydrogen infrastructure, which is crucial for realizing hydrogen economy. According to the fire act in Korea, most hydrogen refueling stations are not included in the specific structure for fire protection. Therefore, in this study, the fire protection facilities in hydrogen refueling stations and the amendment methods for those facilities were investigated using the Delphi method. A total of six fire protection facilities, including an automatic fire alarm system and sprinkler, were drawn. It is the conclusion of the paper, however the current fire act does not classified the hydrogen refueling station as the specific structure for fire protection. I think the following is better: Furthermore, hydrogen refueling stations needed to be included in the specific structure for fire protection by modifying the hydrogen storage tank volume. High-pressure gas act and relevant technical codes were further required to connect with fire regulations. Quantitative analysis of fire protection facilities and design codes for hydrogen refueling stations could provide information for the hydrogen infrastructure development.

In order to comprehensively improve the sensitivity of fire warning and effectively shorten the warning time, this paper proposes and implements an indoor distributed fire alarm system based on low power wide area network. The system is mainly composed of three parts: a multisensor acquisition node based on LoRa technology, a distributed edge gateway, and a remote user monitoring system. The multisensor collection node obtains environmental parameters such as indoor temperature, smoke concentration, and air quality and then transmits the sensing data to edge gateway by LoRa after preprocessing. The edge gateway is based on an embedded Linux platform and is deployed in distributed state to collect and store data from multiple collection nodes. Besides, edge gateway forwards valid data to the remote user monitoring system by standard MQTT protocol. The user monitoring system displays current deployment area parameters to users in real time and provides early warning prompts based on relevant preset indicators to help the administrator make more accurate decisions on corresponding measures. The system has been deployed and tested in Nanjing Institute of Technology. By sensor calibration experiments, LoRa communication experiments, and system tests in different environments, the experimental results show that the average received signal strength in a small interference space is -104.12 dBm, and the average received signal strength in a noisy signal environment is -57.5 dBm. By setting the optimal transmitting power for each distance, the packet receiving rate can reach more than 95%, and the alarm accuracy can reach 100% under premise of ensuring the lowest power consumption. Finally, this paper conducts a comprehensive performance analysis on the wireless communication performance of environmental collection nodes, multisensor data fusion algorithm, distributed LoRa edge gateway deployment performance, and remote system early warning accuracy.

Damages and misfortunes caused by fire on ships have recently accelerated the creation of new approaches, development, and building the security and unchanging quality of the fire detection framework. Simultaneously, with the growing interest in better early fire detection and prevention, numerous frameworks are being created for the detection of progress, with control calculations having the task of carefully preparing and identifying true/false signals from fire or flames or the true alarm from false alarms. By utilizing the assistance provided by innovation, transport owners are more likely to service groups and fleets of ships and reduce potential fire accident costs. This article provides an overview of recent methodologies and technology for early detection of ship fires, as well as an enhanced approach for evaluating the Human-Machine-Interface (HMI) function of an alarming ship using a machine operating simulator called DMS-2017B. The DMS-2017B machinery operation simulator can unify the noise environment to avoid the influence of environmental differences on cabin experimental results. Compared to conventional Binomial Testing, a ship simulator coupled with the theory of affordance that provides a more realistic and operable way to assess the feature design of ship fire alarm and the threshold of some influence factors can also be used. According to the quantitative analysis of experimental results based on the ordered logit model, the function of the ship fire alarm would be improved significantly by adding recorded broadcasting and replacing static symbols with flashing symbols. Increasing sound pressure is also an effective way of doing this, but an auditory threshold is present. Above 75 dB, this effect will fade down, along with noise pollution. However, the effect difference between continuous alarm and square wave pulse alarm is negligible. The conclusion can provide some guidance for the design of a ship fire alarm. An appropriate design is expected to facilitate the efficiency of handling accidents and guiding evacuation.
