Cryptosporidium hominis is a protozoan parasite that causes gastrointestinal disease in humans worldwide. Here, we report on draft whole-genome sequences of two clinical isolates of C. hominis that were purified from patients with cryptosporidiosis in New Zealand.

Draft genome sequences of Corynebacterium macginleyi CCUG 32361T and clinical isolates NML 080212 and NML 120205 were assembled and studied. Genome sizes ranged from 2.35 Mb to 2.42 Mb, with G+C contents ranging from 57.1% to 57.2%.

ABSTRACT We here report the draft genome sequences of 8 Yersinia pestis subsp. microtus bv. caucasica strains isolated from the East Caucasian (previous name, Dagestan) mountain focus (no. 39), representing the most ancient branch of the 0.PE2 phylogroup circulating in populations of common voles (Microtus arvalis).

ABSTRACT Here, we report the draft genome sequences of two Yersinia pestis bv. Antiqua strains, belonging to the 3.ANT phylogroup, that were isolated in Mongolia and were circulating in marmot populations.

Cryptosporidium parvum is a zoonotic protozoan parasite that causes food and waterborne gastrointestinal disease and whose major animal reservoirs are cattle and small ruminants. We report here on a draft whole-genome sequence of a zoonotic isolate of C. parvum isolated from a person with cryptosporidiosis.

ABSTRACT To explore the genetic diversity of Yersinia pestis strains in Erenhot, China, and their relationship with Mongolian strains, we collected and sequenced three Y. pestis strains from Erenhot, China, in 2018. Here, we report the draft genome sequences of three Y. pestis bv. Medievalis strains belonging to the 2.MED phylogroup that were circulating in Meriones unguiculatus populations.

ABSTRACT We report here high-quality draft whole-genome assemblies of Xylella fastidiosa subsp. fastidiosa strains OK3, VB11, and NOB1, which were isolated from symptomatic bunch and muscadine grape plants grown in southern Mississippi.

ABSTRACT Escherichia coli bacteria commonly colonize the gastrointestinal tracts of farmed ruminants. Cattle are a well-recognized reservoir of zoonotic E. coli; we report here, however, the draft genome sequences of three diarrheagenic E. coli strains isolated from farmed red deer (Cervus elaphus) in the Manawatu region of New Zealand.

ABSTRACT Here, we report the draft genome assemblies of 14 azithromycin-resistant Neisseria gonorrhoeae clinical isolates, representing the first such strains identified in Ireland. Among these isolates are the first reported highly resistant strains (MIC >256 mg/liter), which both belonged to the ST1580 sequence type.
