Vibrio harveyi is a Gram-negative, bioluminescent bacterium within the family Vibrionaceae. Here, we report the draft genome sequence of V. harveyi strain GAN1807, which was isolated from a diseased greater amberjack (Seriola dumerili) with symptoms of V. harveyi-associated vibriosis in Nomi Bay in Japan.

ABSTRACT Riemerella anatipestifer is a Gram-negative bacterium belonging to the family Flavobacteriaceae. It is primarily associated with acute septicemia in younger birds. The R. anatipestifer isolate 17CS0503 described here was isolated from a Peking duck (Anas platyrhynchos domesticus) in Hannover, Germany, in 1999.

Aestuariibacter halophilus strain JC2043, a Gram-negative gammaproteobacterium, is often used as a reference organism for assigning taxonomy within the family Alteromonadaceae . Isolates of this species have also been investigated for compound degradation (e.g., phthalates and oil) and biofilm association. Presented here is the draft genome sequence of A. halophilus strain JC2043.

Here, we report the draft genome sequence of Pseudorhodobacter sp. strain E13, a Gram-negative, aerobic, nonflagellated, and rod-shaped bacterium which was isolated from the Yellow Sea in South Korea. The assembled genome sequence is 3,878,578 bp long with 3,646 protein-coding sequences in 159 contigs.

ABSTRACT Vibrio harveyi is a Gram-negative bacterium associated with vibriosis in penaeid shrimp. Here, we report the draft genome sequence of a V. harveyi strain isolated from Pacific white shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) during a vibriosis outbreak. The availability of this genome will aid future studies of vibriosis in shrimp aquaculture.

Chitinimonas spp. are Gram-negative bacilli that are observed in freshwater and soil sources. A number of Chitinimonas species have been characterized, including the green-pigmented Chitinimonas viridis. The isolate described here, BJB300, was obtained from a freshwater source in the Hudson Valley, NY. BJB300 is the first Chitinimonas isolate expressing violacein, a pigment with biotherapeutic potential.

ABSTRACT Here, we report the draft genome sequence of Rubricoccus marinus SG-29T, a bacterium isolated from the western North Pacific Ocean. R. marinus SG-29T possesses two different types of rhodopsin genes and belongs to the family Rhodothermaceae, with which halophilic, thermophilic, and marine bacteria are associated.

ABSTRACT Mobilitalea sibirica strain P3M-3T is a strictly anaerobic, halotolerant, organotrophic bacterium of the family Lachnospiraceae that can utilize various plant-derived polysaccharides as its carbon source. The strain was originally isolated from a microbial mat in western Siberia (Russia). In this study, we present the draft genome sequence of M. sibirica P3M-3T based on Illumina paired-end sequencing.
