The soil bacterium Psychrobacillus sp. strain AK 1817 was isolated from a tropical soil sample collected in Taiwan. Strain AK 1817 biotransforms the ergostane triterpenoid antcin K from the fungus Antrodia cinnamomea . The genome was sequenced using the PacBio RS II platform and consists of one chromosome of 4,096,020 bp, comprising 3,907 protein-coding genes, 75 tRNAs, 30 rRNAs, 5 noncoding RNAs (ncRNAs), and 100 pseudogenes.

Actinobacteriophage Finny contains a circularly permuted 40,313-bp double-stranded DNA genome with 63 predicted protein-coding genes. Finny was directly isolated from a soil sample collected in New Braunfels, Texas, that was incubated with Microbacterium foliorum SEA B-24224. Finny is closely related to bacteriophages MCubed, Andromedas, ColaCorta, Eleri, and Sansa.

Stenotrophomonas maltophilia is a prevalent nosocomial pathogen with multidrug resistance. Here, we describe the complete genome of S. maltophilia myophage Moby, which shares characteristics with Enterobacteria phage T4 and is closely related to Stenotrophomonas phage IME-SM1. Moby has a 159,365-bp genome with 271 predicted protein-coding genes and 24 predicted tRNAs.

Escherichia coli is a Gram-negative bacterium often found in animal intestinal tracts. Here, we present the genome of the Guernseyvirinae-like E. coli 4s siphophage Snoke. The 44.4-kb genome contains 81 protein-coding genes, for which 33 functions were predicted. The capsid morphogenesis gene in Snoke contains a large intein.

We report the complete genome sequence of the anaerobic, sulfonate-respiring, sulfate-reducing bacterium Desulfovibrio desulfuricans IC1. The genome was assembled into a single 3.25-Mb circular chromosome with 2,680 protein-coding genes identified. Sequencing of sulfonate-metabolizing anaerobes is key for understanding sulfonate degradation and its role in the sulfur cycle.
