This study finds that the case method pedagogy, originally designed for use with graduate students, can also be effective in large, undergraduate business classes. While most of the case method research has historically focused on the graduate level, the method has now become popular for undergraduate teaching. There is a growing need for large class pedagogy and best practices due to the fast growing enrolment in North American business schools, and this study presents a preliminary opinion on how the case method could be adapted to meet the needs of large and diverse classes. The study reviews the challenges of teaching cases, and the challenges of using active learning techniques in large class teaching. The study presents a definition for “large” and “very large” classes in the context of case teaching, and suggests several practices from case-teaching instructors that can be used to teach the method effectively in these environments.

One of the innovative learning methods today is the Suggestopedia method. This article aims to examine the theory of suggestopedia and its implications in learning Arabic writing skills (insyā’). The research method of this article uses a literature review. Sources of data obtained from the exploration of literature related literature studies. Data is examined critically and deeply through data triangulation. The results of the analysis of this article are that the suggestopedia method has implications in learning Arabic writing skills (insyā’) on several aspects, including aspects of learning objectives, aspects of learning techniques, aspects of learning strategies, aspects of instructional media, aspects of the learning environment, and aspects of learning levels.

Purpose of the study: Activity based learning helps students to learn actively in classroom and it also provides ample scope for experimental learning. Students are to be provided opportunities and optimum learning environment to explore their knowledge and skills. It would broaden the understanding of concepts and theories in their core premises. It enhances the learning process and the students as active learners. Methodology: Interactive learning strategies are categorized as individual learning and group learning strategies. Individual activities may include flipped learning, polling answers and questions. Group activities include pair and share strategy, inspire and initiate scenarios.  Main Findings: Interactive learning strategies, E-Learning and M-Learning are preferred modes for the students, promotes the cognitive level of the learners, achieved learning objectives. It is essential to suggest and design innovative learning practices. Implications: Higher education institutions and even schools are using various enhanced interactive learning practices, educational apps and M-Learning techniques. These activities enhance the student engagement in the classroom. By implementing activity based learning practices, learners become investigators and strive to make best real time decisions for different scenarios. Novelty/Originality of this study: Enhanced learning strategies promotes cooperative learning and efficient for large group of learners.

Abstract. Pharmacological neuroenhancement, defined as the misuse of prescription drugs, illicit drugs, or alcohol for the purpose of enhancing cognition, mood, or prosocial behavior, is not widespread in Europe – nevertheless, it does occur. Thus far, no drug has been proven as safe and effective for cognitive enhancement in otherwise healthy individuals. European studies have investigated the misuse of prescription and illicit stimulants to increase cognitive performance as well as the use of tranquilizers, alcohol, and cannabis to cope with stress related to work or education. Young people in educational settings report pharmacological neuroenhancement more frequently than those in other settings. Although the regular use of drugs for neuroenhancement is not common in Europe, the irregular and low-dose usage of neuroenhancers might cause adverse reactions. Previous studies have revealed that obtaining adequate amounts of sleep and using successful learning techniques effectively improve mental performance, whereas pharmacological neuroenhancement is associated with ambiguous effects. Therefore, non-substance-related alternatives should be promoted to cope with stressful situations. This paper reviews the recent research on pharmacological neuroenhancement in Europe, develops a clear definition of the substances used, and formulates recommendations for practitioners regarding how to react to requests for neuroenhancement drug prescriptions. We conclude that monitoring the future development of pharmacological neuroenhancement in Europe is important to provide effective preventive measures when required. Furthermore, substance use to cope with stress related to work or education should be studied in depth because it is likely more prevalent and dangerous than direct neuroenhancement.
