The Problem-Solving Manager makes the approved best practices available across the organization. This chapter presents the flow charts and pseudo-code for developing the Problem-Solving Manager. This chapter also shows that this additional role for the Problem-Solving Manager enables an innovative learning (iLearning) organization. Innovative learning begins with all team members having access to the same knowledge for the current “best way” of solving a problem. This knowledge is where the lessons learned from the past meet the best thinking of the present to learn how to do things better – innovative learning.

This chapter describes how TESOL educators can partner with global aid organizations, local communities, and learners themselves to leverage low-tech yet innovative learning solutions like text-message lessons with the goal of more equitably reaching learners, particularly those affected by disruption to their education such as those who are migrants/refugees. Taking such action as advocates committed to closing opportunity gaps arising from social issues affecting language learning not only involves the TESOL educator in the six principles for exemplary teaching of English learners but also UN Sustainable Development Goals as a framework, trauma-informed teaching and learning, and the concept of text messages used as micro-learning. Through a UNICEF case study of practice in action, the author provides a stepwise how-to for redesigning curriculum into micro-learning appropriate for text-message delivery and offers considerations and recommendations for its dissemination, evaluation, and potential application to many other contexts and learner populations at scale.

Every year in the U.S., 40,000 jobs for information security analysts go unfilled, and employers are struggling to fill 200,000 other cybersecurity related roles. Colleges and universities have created certificates, undergraduate, and graduate programs to train professionals in these job roles. This issue becomes more complicated when you explore the that competent workers in this field need more than just book knowledge to be effective. Engaged and experiential learning approaches encourages experimentation and expanding teaching cybersecurity beyond the use of just classroom lectures, textbooks, and PowerPoint slides. The use of experiential and scenario-based learning approaches helps students to develop real-world problem solving and critical thinking skills that demonstrate expertise beyond course grades and degrees. Developing the ability to strategic and adaptive is vital to be effective. This case study research intends not to reconstitute theory but to influence the practice of cybersecurity education through the use of innovative applied and engaged learning approaches.

In essence, every learning process will always be related to the emphasis on mastering certain competencies by students through learning experiences. This implies that in the learning process, learning experiences should be created that are activating students and innovative learning. On the one hand, learning outcomes as a component in learning assessment are not only seen from the number of numbers, but also related to the learning process. If the learning process can run well, the learning outcomes of students can also be better. The results of this Classroom Action Research with two cycles have shown that the application of Problem Based Learning is proven to be able to increase the activity of students which leads to an increase in learning outcomes of Islamic Religious Education and Morals, especially in the Basic Competence of Understanding the Meaning of Manners, Courtesy and Shame in Students. Abstract: The research methodology is a subject that has an essential role in completing the study. Even though students have received this course during the college period, many students still feel confused in determining the research method to complete their thesis, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. The School from Home learning system prevents students from meeting face to face and talking directly to the lecturer. So, it is important to innovate where students can ask freely about the problems of both quantitative and qualitative research methods. So, there needs innovative learning to solve it. Authors made an innovation called Tanya Egy, based on a website application for Question and Answer (Q&A) about research methodology problems, both quantitative or qualitative. The Tanya Egy application has been synchronized with SPEDOL (Economic Library Service System and Online Data), owned by the Department of Economic Development FE UM. In this application, there are also many lecturers with econometric expertise and lecturers with expertise in the field of qualitative research methods. So this feature is not only for students who are taking research methods but also for students who are preparing a thesis or students who are currently on the verge of confusion in completing their thesis. The result of this activity is that 23 students have used and asked questions online through the Ask Egy feature. As many as 80 percent of students said this feature was beneficial in completing their thesis.
