The introduction and active use of information transmission and storage systems in the Ministry of Defense (MoD) of Ukraine form the need to develop ways of guaranteed removal of data from media after their use or long-term storage. Such a task is an essential component of the functioning of any information security system. The article analyzes the problems of guaranteed destruction of information on magnetic media. An overview of approaches to the guaranteed destruction of information on magnetic media of different types is presented, and partial estimates of the effectiveness of their application are given by some generally accepted indicators of performance evaluation. The article also describes the classification of methods of destruction of information depending on the influence on its medium. The results of the analysis revealed the main problems of application of software methods and methods of demagnetization of the information carrier. The issue of guaranteed destruction of information from modern SSD devices, which are actively used in the formation of new systems of information accumulation and processing, became particularly relevant in the article. In today's conditions of development of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, methods of mechanical and thermal destruction are more commonly used today. In the medium term, the vector of the use of information elimination methods will change towards the methods of physical impact by the pulsed magnetic field and the software methods that allow to store the information storage device, but this today requires specialists to develop new ways of protecting information in order to avoid its leakage.

The aim of this study was the development of a quality tracing model for vacuum-packed lamb that is applicable in different meat supply chains. Based on the development of relevant sensory parameters, the predictive model was developed by combining a linear primary model and the Arrhenius model as the secondary model. Then a process analysis was conducted to define general requirements for the implementation of the temperature-based model into a meat supply chain. The required hardware and software for continuous temperature monitoring were developed in order to use the model under practical conditions. Further on a decision support tool was elaborated in order to use the model as an effective tool in combination with the temperature monitoring equipment for the improvement of quality and storage management within the meat logistics network. Over the long term, this overall procedure will support the reduction of food waste and will improve the resources efficiency of food production.

Abstract Electric power sectors around the world have changed dramatically in the last 25 years as a result of sector liberalization policies. Many electricity sectors are now pursuing deep decarbonization goals which will entail replacing dispatchable fossil generation primarily with intermittent renewable generation (wind and solar) over the next 20–30 years. This transition creates new challenges for both short-term wholesale market design and investment incentives consistent with achieving both decarbonization commitments and security of supply criteria. Thinking broadly about the options for institutional change from a Williamsonian perspective – thinking like Williamson – provides a useful framework for examining institutional adaptation. Hybrid markets that combine ‘competition for the market’ that relies on competitive procurement for long-term purchased power agreements with wind, solar, and storage developers, ideally in a technology neutral fashion, and ‘competition in the market’ that relies on short-term markets designed to produce efficient and reliable operations of intermittent generation and storage, is identified as a promising direction for institutional adaptation. Many auction, contract, and market integration issues remain to be resolved.

It has been recognized that repair welding plays an important role in the long term, safe operation of pressure equipment. In 2009, The Japan Welding Society (JWES) published guidelines for repair welding of pressure equipment [1], to meet the great need for the safe operation and proper maintenance of aging plants. Pressure equipments made from carbon steel, high tensile steel and Cr-Mo steels are utilized for high pressure services. The subject equipments are pressure vessels, heat exchangers, piping, and storage tanks for petroleum, petrochemical and liquefied natural gas industry. This paper summarizes category and property of these steels and repair welding method including special attention. Especially, weld cold cracking for these steels could be prevented by controlling the repair welding and post-weld heat treatment process to reduce the hydrogen content, hardness and weld residual stress.

Abstract Phosphatidylethanol (PEth) are phospholipids produced through non-oxidative ethanol metabolism. They accumulate in red blood cells and have been traditionally analysed in whole blood as potential biomarkers for moderate to long-term alcohol consumption. More recently, their analysis in dried blood spots has been gaining favour, namely, due to the ease in sampling, transport and storage conditions required. This paper aims at providing a short comparative review between analysing PEth in whole blood and dried blood spots and the potential pitfalls that researchers may face when setting up PEth testing for clinical use.
