The article discusses the new construction principles of the highly sensitive and high-speed electronic channels for sensor measuring systems with parallel-sequential conversion of the dynamic informative signals of direct or alternating current in wide ranges of its amplitude and frequency. The possibilities of improving suppression of noise and the interferences on industrial power frequency with several methods of processing the obtained data shown analytically and experimentally. A prototype of a unified basic module of the measuring channel described, intended for the implementation of information-measuring systems for various purposes; its main characteristics are given. A significant increase in the use of computer-supported learning (CSL) within schools and universities across the world gives rise to concern about gender-related differences in performance and interaction style in these environments. Research has shown that initial perceptions of CSL environments as democratic and offering equal opportunities to all students were flawed because interactions that take place through electronic channels lose none of the socio-cultural complexity or gender imbalance that exists within society. Much of the recent literature states that women are disadvantaged because of inferior levels of access and technology literacy and dominant male behavior. However, the assumption that difference implies disadvantage is challenged by evidence that variable factors such as professed confidence and apparently dominant interaction styles do not necessarily lead to better educational opportunity and performance. This paper contains a summary of gender-related issues identified by international research and academic practice together with supportive case study examples. The conclusion is that women often perform better than men despite the observable differences in interaction style.

We compare three-dimensional electrostatics of semiconductor structures with graphene-like lattices of quantum dots and antidots formed in the plane of the two dimensional electron gas. With lattice constant fixed, the shape of the potential may be tuned so that both lattices have minband spectrum where the second Dirac feature is pronounced and not overlaid by the other states. We show that the lattice of quantum dots is more sensitive to fabrication imperfections, because sources of the disorder are located directly above the electronic channels. Thus the lattices of antidots should be preferred semiconductor artificial graphene candidates.

This chapter discusses the importance, relevance and the activities related to managing change in a business as it undergoes transformation to a collaborative business. One of the most significant changes that needs to take place when collaborative business is undertaken is the redefinition of traditional organizational boundaries. Senior management of the organization must understand the upcoming change process and totally support the change that follows the effort to collaborate through electronic channels. Collaborative business, especially through the use of a collaborative webbased system, will find that other participating businesses are able to come ‘inside’ the organization in order to offer as well as consume services. While this initially happens in the electronic domain, large, service-based organizations that depend on their far-flung collaborative partners will also discover that the management of change is not just at a technological level but also at a socio-cultural level.

The banking landscape in India has been changing rapidly due to advent of emerging technologies. Consumers have adopted technology in their everyday banking transactions. These changes have been evident because of the advent of electronic channels like mobile banking (MB), internet banking, payments banking, fintech applications, and such others. Given the burgeoning Indian population, the brick and mortar model of banking hasn't been able to keep up with the increased and enhanced customer needs. This has led to bankers harping on adoption of mobile banking. The authors in this study applied a sequential mixed method quant-qual to better comprehend customer perceptions towards adoption of mobile banking services. The research was carried out in two phases: quantitative survey followed by qualitative interviews. The findings from the study helped gauge the user perception towards MB. These were concerns regarding security, internet availability, simplified user interface experience of MB, customer convenience for core banking services, and transactions with minimum number of clicks.

The Compton scattering of gamma rays is commonly detected using two detector layers, the first for detection of the recoil electron and the second for the scattered gamma. We have assembled detector modules consisting of scintillation pixels, which are able to detect and reconstruct the Compton scattering of gammas with only one readout layer. This substantially reduces the number of electronic channels and opens the possibility to construct cost-efficient Compton scattering detectors for various applications such as medical imaging, environment monitoring, or fundamental research. A module consists of a 4 × 4 matrix of lutetium fine silicate scintillators and is read out by a matching silicon photomultiplier array. Two modules have been tested with a 22 Na source in coincidence mode, and the performance in the detection of 511 keV gamma Compton scattering has been evaluated. The results show that Compton events can be clearly distinguished with a mean energy resolution of 12.2% ± 0.7% in a module and a coincidence time resolution of 0 . 56 ± 0 . 02 ns between the two modules.
