A gradual transition to the reflecting scattering mode developing already at the LHC energies is affecting multiparticle production dynamics, in particular, relation of the centrality with the impact parameter values of pp-collisions. We discuss the issues in the framework of the geometrical picture for the multiparticle production processes proposed by Chou and Yang. We consider effects of reflective scattering mode presence for the inclusive cross-sections.

Soft hadron-collision processes at high energies are considered, under the assumption that gluon interactions are short-ranged and that the rules of the 1/Nc expansion are fulfilled. It is shown, that these considerations lead to the scheme of the additive quark model with some relatively large additional effects of colour screening. This colour screening is responsible for the unnatural breaking of the Levin-Frankfurt condition1 and also for the effective increase of cross sections for hadron-nucleus interactions2 if quark bags in nuclei exist, The formation mechanism of fragmentational particles is considered in multiple hadron-production processes.

We comment briefly on relations between the elastic and inelastic cross-sections valid for the shadow and reflective modes of the elastic scattering. Those are based on the unitarity arguments. It is shown that the redistribution of the probabilities of the elastic and inelastic interactions (the form of the inelastic overlap function becomes peripheral) under the reflective scattering mode can lead to increasing ratio of [Formula: see text] at the LHC energies. In the shadow scattering mode, the mechanism of this increase is a different one, since the impact parameter dependence of the inelastic interactions probability is central in this mode. A short notice is also given on the slope parameter and the leading contributions to its energy dependence in both modes.

We analyzed the identified hadron multiplicity predictions of the generalized thermodynamical model of the multiparticle production processes with nonextensive statistics. The multiplicities measured recently at LHC experiments seem to be consistent with this approach and thermodynamical parameter values are found already by analyzing transverse momentum distributions. The information about the mechanism of the strangeness suppression has been derived to some extent from multistrange hadron abundances.

Data on 200 and 400 GeV proton interactions with nuclear emulsion have been analyzed. It is found that the multiplicity distributions of the shower particles in the restricted rapidity intervals are well described by the negative binomial distribution (NBD). The dependences of the NBD parameters on rapidity interval, energy and target size have been studied. The results have also been discussed in terms of Giovannini and Van Hove’s clan model of multiparticle production.
