Among other obligations imposed under the forestry permit, watershed rehabilitation planting is perceived by the upstream oil and gas sector as the most complex challenge to conquer. Despite its poor track in fulfilling timeline and required result, there are also other challenges to consider, for instance lack of critical location, weather, fire, land tenure, community habit and capability, and cost optimization. In attempt to respond these challenges, an innovation in management system is constructed at PT Pertamina Hulu Mahakam, embracing and tailoring all related challenges, difficulties, and complexities, escalating the activity to be beyond compliance. So that it will be able to deliver more than merely avoid the identified potential risks towards company. The management system, called PIRAMIDA TINGGI (Pemberdayaan Masyarakat untuk Melestarikan Hutan di Dunia demi Ketahanan Energi Nasional), actively involves government, community, and business sector as equilateral triangle that work together to perform watershed rehabilitation planting. Developed using ISO 9001:2015 process approach namely PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act), the PIRAMIDA TINGGI system is in line as well with NAWACITA (President Joko Widodo’s vision, mission and program). To encounter other issue found during field work, this system is equipped as well with another innovation tool named PARIDA, a geospatial mobile-desk top-web application that easily able to map and identify vegetation in real time for further geo-analyzing multi-purposes, to be operated by local community. Full set implementation of this system has benefitted all parties. To Company in form of significant cost efficiency around 13.9 MUSD and 7 days’ faster result delivery besides obligation fulfillment, for others in form of broader advantage of proven sustainability project that has gave contribution to 5P (People, Planet, Prosperity, Partnership and Peace), objectives required by UN Sustainable Development Goals 2030.

Abstract. The massive amounts of spatio-temporal information often present in LiDAR data sets make their storage, processing, and visualisation computationally demanding. There is an increasing need for systems and tools that support all the spatial and temporal components and the three-dimensional nature of these datasets for effortless retrieval and visualisation. In response to these needs, this paper presents a scalable, distributed database system that is designed explicitly for retrieving and viewing large LiDAR datasets on the web. The ultimate goal of the system is to provide rapid and convenient access to a large repository of LiDAR data hosted in a distributed computing platform. The system is composed of multiple, share-nothing nodes operating in parallel. Namely, each node is autonomous and has a dedicated set of processors and memory. The nodes communicate with each other via an interconnected network. The data management system presented in this paper is implemented based on Apache HBase, a distributed key-value datastore within the Hadoop eco-system. HBase is extended with new data encoding and indexing mechanisms to accommodate both the point cloud and the full waveform components of LiDAR data. The data can be consumed by any desktop or web application that communicates with the data repository using the HTTP protocol. The communication is enabled by a web servlet. In addition to the command line tool used for administration tasks, two web applications are presented to illustrate the types of user-facing applications that can be coupled with the data system.

Nowadays the built heritage has been recognized as one of the main sectors that can support the economic and sustainable development of countries. In the last years, the built heritage has been subject to several levels of interventions, being now clear its need for a proper maintenance and conservation management. However, in several cases, the maintenance faces lack of building records, which makes the maintenance a harsh, long, and expensive process. Therefore, there is an opportunity and need to apply new technologies, like Building Information Modelling (BIM), as supporting tool to the management of historical heritage. By so, the aim of this work was the development of a management system to be used as a supporting tool to the maintenance and conservation of the existent buildings, in historical context, facilitating to the interested parties the automated and digitized information needed to carry out the most varied tasks, with the particularity to be directly connected to the 3D-BIM model of the building. But in order to test the developed system (its applicability and functionality), it was in an early phase, applied to a pilot project with the significant heritage value. This work follows a development methodology applied to the case study and had different phases: (1) the case study was modelled in Autodesk Revit software, in whose model was inserted all the parametric information and associated metadata; (2) then, a support database of the management system was developed in Microsoft SQL Server, which will support all the information exported from the BIM model; (3) a web application was developed in C# through Visual Studio 2015, which works through and application programming interface (API) allowing the communication between the web application and the BIM model, allowing not only the interaction with the parametric information of this one, but also, a persistent access to a data management system (drawings, inspection reports, specifications, etc.) that has been created. The development of the management system and its application to the case study allows us to show its potential as a tool for the historical heritage management, contributing to its permanent and constantly updated management and cross off the fragmentation and loss of information therefore reducing the consequent investment in data collection.

This paper designs and develops a real-time charger management system which keeps collecting the status information from chargers and converts control messages from the total operation center to a command predefined for charger control. RF cards complete the service chain from electric vehicles to the operation center, making the information flow bidirectional. The extended coverage of the operation control over the charging infrastructure allows an easy payment for the charging fee, based on the membership management and personalized services. A web application is implemented on the digital map of the target city for users to retrieve necessary information from the system and find the best service and chargers. The massive amount of real-time charger monitoring data is being accumulated in the database, and big data analysis will allow us to make intelligent plans for future smart grid city services.

MVC is a typical software architecture model The paper states the development principle and advantages of the MVC pattern, discusses the software development process based on the MVC pattern, and designs a Web application-library management system. On the basis of introducing books management system, this paper describes the system design and implementation method based on MVC pattern. The use of MVC model improves maintainability and reusability of the system.

Managing people and keeping adequate record of the attendance for most of the tertiary institutions are difficult task. Moreover, the manual taking of attendance adds to the difficulty of this task because it is strenuous, time intensive and can easily be falsified. Meanwhile, With the advent of new technology, a new world of authentication and security has been created via biometrics. This work aims at improving Covenant Universities paper-based attendance by using biometrics, specifically fingerprint technology. It is a web application that works with a fingerprint reader from which the features of the student’s fingerprint are extracted during enrolment. This is also needed during the authentication phase which occurs during the roll call attendance in the halls of residence. It is implemented using PHP and MySQL.

Information technology is one of the assets of a company or organization that is important for its development, with the rapid development of technology today, technology must always be updated. One of the roles of information technology is the application of knowledge management. Knowledge Management is a system that is able to improve and manage knowledge information in companies or agencies that apply knowledge management. In this study, it focuses on implementing a knowledge management system in the Quality Assurance of the Faculties at Satya Wacana Christian University. This research is based on the fact that PMF institutions still use manual methods in data archiving, the purpose of this study is to design a web application that is useful for archiving PMF data to make it more effective and efficient. In this study, the KMS (Knowledge Management System) is applied, and uses the Knowledge Management System Life Cycle method which consists of several process stages consisting of infrastructure evaluation, KMS design analysis and development, and evaluation at the final stage. The result of this research is a useful data archiving web application for PMF. It is hoped that PMF will be more efficient in data archiving.
