The aim of this study was to determine how secondary education students and teachers perceive the implementation of the Teaching Personal and Social Responsibility model (TPSR), the relationship between TPSR and marks in physical education (PE), and potential differences with regard to gender. For this purpose, TPSR was implemented for seven months and on completion 121 students (48 girls) aged between 12 and 16 from the first and third grade of secondary education were asked to complete the TPSR perception questionnaire (ECVA-12) to determine their satisfaction with this methodology and the values the model promoted in pupils. Moreover, the participant teachers were also interviewed. Results showed positive student perceptions of the implemented methodology and its promotion of values, and significant differences in academic performance in PE in favor of males. Teachers valued this methodology very positively and considered that it would be useful with any kind of student. This paper suggests the importance of TPSR implementation for all teachers, regardless of their specialism, and considers that there may be potential in engaging other collectives such as families.

Abstract. Introduction: From its androcentric vision and through the prevailing patriarchal society in this field over the years, sport has constrained, not infrequently, the action and personal development of those people who are not governed by socially established rules. In this sense, this situation affects not only the group of homosexuals, bisexuals, transsexuals, and intersexuals (LGBTI), but all those individuals who do not follow the pattern established by heteronormativity. Although it is true that there have been notable advances in this regard in our society, evolving towards a climate of greater tolerance, the presence of numerous situations dominated by discrimination and violence towards those minorities who question heterosexual norms is still present. Therefore, it is necessary to make use of the healthy educational, social, cultural, and psychological functions that physical-sports activities can play towards people. Objectives: The main objective of this study was to evaluate the attitude of Secondary Education students towards sexual diversity in the sports environment. Methods: The study involved 87 students ranging in age from 15 to 17 years old. The Attitudes towards Sexual Diversity in Sport Scale was used to determine students' attitudes towards sexual diversity. Results: In general, positive attitudes towards sexual diversity in sport were found, boys scoring more negatively than girls, mainly towards transgender individuals. Based on these results, it is evident that some of the students have negative attitudes towards sexual diversity, hence, proposing educational action lines that work against this situation is considered necessary.

This study aims to carry out an initial approach to the secondary education students preferences regarding science teaching methods. The study also analyses the influence of academic level and gender on these preferences. Two hundred and forty spanish secondary education students (112 women and 128 men) at different educational levels (but they are all from the same high school) have participated in this research. All of them have been administered a multiple choice test of 6 items each with four options. In these items each option offers a way of teaching. The statistical analysis of the results obtained allow us to conclude that: a) Students show a significant predilection for student-centered teaching methods; and b) Academic level has a significant effect on teaching method preferences among students, but gender does not.

This study aims to develop physics problem solving survey utilized to obtain students attitude and approach while solving physics problem. Several steps are conducted to develop the survey: validating, computing reliability, and testing. This research involves Physics Education students-Tanjungpura University who study at Fourth and Sixth semester. Furthermore, after questionnaire administered to the students, data are analysed through determining average score of the students and computing average percentage of students who are agree, neutral, and disagree based on semester and gender. The results show that the sixth semester students responses are more expertlike than those of the fourth semester students and female students are less expert than those male students. Based on semester and gender, majority of students have the same attitudes and approaches while solving problems. Students and experts have different attitudes about the role of mathematics in problem solving.

In post-Socialist countries, cross-border labour migration has become a common individual and family livelihood strategy. The paper is based on the analysis of semi-structured interviews conducted with two ethnic Hungarian women whose lives have been significantly reshaped by cross-border migration. Focusing on the interplay of gender and cross-border migration, our aim is to reveal how gender roles and boundaries are reinforced and repositioned by labour migration in the post-socialist context where both the socialist dual-earner model and conventional ideas of family and gender roles simultaneously prevail. We found that cross-border migration challenged these women to pursue diverse strategies to balance their roles of breadwinner, wife, and mother responsible for reproductive work. Nevertheless, the boundaries between female and male work or status were neither discursively nor in practice transgressed. Thus, the effect of cross-border migration on altering gender boundaries in post-socialist peripheries is limited.
