During the described experiment, a sample with a copper coating was formed on an aluminum substrate by cold spray. Subsequently, this sample was split for corrosion tests, where the split samples were exposed to a corrosive environment for different exposure times. The extent of corrosion degradation of the samples was evaluated by acoustic emission and metallographic analysis for corrosion-loaded samples for 100, 200 and 300 hours.

This paper focus on evaluation of behavior, damage and failure processes occurring during the loading cycles in the carbon fiber reinforced composite by acoustic emission method. Since acoustic emission is physical phenomenon that detects the released energy in form of waves spreading through the material due to stimulation of material by external or internal stress, it is possible to evaluate complex damage and failure processes. For that purpose, the standard and open holes tensile testing specimens with different number of plies were manufactured. Selected acoustic emission parameters were correlated with data obtained from mechanical test. Linear localization method together with signal analysis using Fast Fourier transform algorithm were used as another tool for detection and evaluation of spreading damage processes inside the composite during the load. Basic damage types inside the composite material were identified by metallographic analysis using light microscopy. More complex damage processes were observed on the fracture surface using stereomicroscopy and scanning electron microscopy.

Cu-based catalyst is active for methanol steam reforming (MSR) at low temperature. The Cu、Cu+Al2O3 composite and CuO/ZnO/Al2O3 catalytic powers are used as feedstock for coating fabrication by cold spray. MSR experiment and SEM、EDX 、XRD analysis before and after the MSR on the coating has been carried out to study the micostructure and catalytic characteristic of the deposits. Results show that, after reaction the morphology of the Cu coating changes from piled sheets structure to mciro-ramify structure, its porosity obviously increase, the net weight of O、Al in the coating increases, H2 content in the reaction products reaches 74.9%. While for the Cu+Al2O3 composite coating, the content of copper in the coating decreases compared with the initial powder, and the stability of Cu+Al2O3 coating is better than the copper coating in MSR reaction. Particle bonding between coating and substrate and the bonding between the particles in the coating is mainly belonged to mechanical bite and physical bonding; Porosity in the latter two coating is higher than the copper coating. But there is no phase change of the coating. CuO/ZnO/Al2O3 coating shows a much higher activity than conventional fixed bed catalyst due to the reduction of heat and mass transfer resistance in the reactor. So it is available to fabricate catalytic coating by cold spray.

The paper deals with the evaluation of coatings CoMoCrSi and WC-NiMoCrFeCo applied by High Velocity Oxygen Fuel technology from point of view of their suitability for renovation of sink roll in hot dip galvanizing line. The structure of the coatings was evaluated by metallographic analysis. The adhesion of the coatings as-sprayed and after thermal cyclic loading was determined by pull-off test. Wear resistance of the coatings was evaluated by pin-on-disc test in the corrosive environment of 1M aqueous solution of NaCl.
