This paper mainly addresses the issue of 360 MN extrusion machine and focuses on the stabilization control of main table attitude. We will first introduce the problem and then model the extrusion machine. As the machine is a multi-input multioutput (MIMO) and strong coupling system, it is challenging to apply existing control theory to design a controller to stabilize the main table attitude. Motivated by recent research in the field of multiagent systems, we design a consensus control protocol for our system and derive our convergence conditions based directly on Routh stability criterion. The advantages of the design are also demonstrated by numerical simulation.

In the present paper an algorithm for frictional contact between two elastic bodies is presented. The algorithm is applied to the calculation of the evolution of contact pressure between two elastic bodies when material is being removed by fretting. To this end Archard’s law of wear is implemented into the algorithm. It is noticed that the calculated pressures after a period of fretting differ considerably from the initial Hertz type pressures. Further, it is noted that numerical instabilities can occur in explicit type wear calculations, and a stability criterion is suggested.

In the downstream tidal section of the Yangtze River, nine kinds of combinations of hydrological environmental conditions are considered, including the annual average runoff flow, the annual average peak flow and the flood control design flow, as well as the three conditions of spring, medium and neap tides. By means of the numerical simulation method, the effective performance parameter values for conventional intercepting boom under different environmental conditions are obtained by simulating 9 kinds of maximum current speed to withstand, Max.CS, respectively. The results show that, in the downstream fast current tidal section of the Yangtze River, for the boom performance index of Max.CS, the relatively extensive applicability value should be 3.0kn under the condition of the annual average runoff flow; 4.0Kn should be selected under the condition of the annual average peak flow; and 4.5Kn should be selected under the flood control design flow. This study can provide technical support for the design, selection and use of booms in downstream waters of the Yangtze River.

The event-triggered consensus control for leader-following multiagent systems subjected to external disturbances is investigated, by using the output feedback. In particular, a novel distributed event-triggered protocol is proposed by adopting dynamic observers to estimate the internal state information based on the measurable output signal. It is shown that under the developed observer-based event-triggered protocol, multiple agents will reach consensus with the desired disturbance attenuation ability and meanwhile exhibit no Zeno behaviors. Finally, a simulation is presented to verify the obtained results.
