We investigate ϕ-prime and ϕ-primary elements in a compactly generated multiplicative lattice L. By a counterexample, it is shown that a ϕ-primary element in L need not be primary. Some characterizations of ϕ-primary and ϕ-prime elements in L are obtained. Finally, some results for almost prime and almost primary elements in L with characterizations are obtained.

In this paper, we introduce φ-prime and φ-primary  elements in an L-module M. Many of its characterizations and properties are obtained. By counter examples, it is shown that a φ-prime element of M need not be prime, a φ-primary element of M need not be φ-prime, a φ-primary element of M need not be prime and a φ-primary element of M need not be primary. Finally, some results for almost prime and almost primary elements of an L-module M with their characterizations are obtained. Also, we introduce the notions of n-potent prime (respectively n-potent primary) elements in L and M to obtain interrelations among them where n≥2.

We present here a diffusion approximation of priority queues and apply it to build a more detailed model of SDN switch where packets returned by the central controller have higher priority than other packets.

El siguiente trabajo tiene como objetivo fundamental realizar un acercamiento a las campañas del lazo azul que se dieron en los años noventa en el País Vasco propiciadas por la Coordinadora Gesto por la Paz de Euskal Herria, en tanto que iniciativa social novedosa ante la violencia terrorista en el País Vasco. Partimos de la hipótesis de la importancia de los movimientos sociales, en este caso el pacifista, para comprender la historia reciente del País Vasco y la evolución de la actitud frente a ETA. La clave para este acercamiento ha sido el estudio de los sentimientos y las emociones como elemento a tener en cuenta en el comportamiento colectivo, más allá de los aspectos racionales que han venido destacando las teorías clásicas de la movilización social. Propongo para este análisis una metodología basada en la historia oral, para tratar de centrar la atención en lo que la emoción genera en relación a la acción colectiva y la movilización ciudadana. This last step uses the minimal cut sets, an innovative concept in petroleum industry, this provides valuable information about possible combinations of fault events, that can result in a critical failure of the system. The period of maintenance of the main SIS components (sensors, logic solver and final element), was reduced applying redundancy in the primary element. Furthermore, the results obtained of this analysis can be used by insurance companies or institutions that certify under standards of process quality and safety.

Abstract Insulin resistance (IR) engenders a compensatory increase in plasma insulin. Inadequate compensation is a primary element in the pathogenesis of Type 2 diabetes. We tested this assumption by determining whether development of fasting and/or glucose-stimulated hyperinsulinemia with diet-induced insulin resistance occurs because of concomitant elevation of glycemia. Male dogs (n=58) were fed a hypercaloric, fat-supplemented diet for 6 wks. Dogs underwent MRI to quantify total and regional (visceral, subcutaneous) adiposity as well as euglycemic hyperinsulinemic clamps. A subset of animals also underwent an insulin-modified intravenous glucose tolerance test (IVGTT) to assess insulin sensitivity, acute insulin response (AIRg), and glucose effectiveness. Fat feeding caused modest weight gain, increased visceral and subcutaneous fat, and IR at both peripheral and hepatic levels. Hyperinsulinemic compensation was observed in fasting levels as well as increased AIRg. However, we observed absolutely no increase in carefully measured fasting, evening (6-8 pm) or nocturnal glycemia (2-4 am). IR and hyperinsulinemia occurred despite no elevation in 24-hour glucose. Compensatory development of hyperinsulinemia during diet-induced insulin resistance occurs without elevated fasting or 24-hour glycemia. These data refute the idea that glucose itself is a requisite signal for β-cell upregulation. Alternative feedback mechanisms need to be identified.
