Background Medical students show low levels of e–mental health literacy. Moreover, there is a high prevalence of common mental illnesses among medical students. Mobile health (mHealth) apps can be used to maintain and promote medical students’ well-being. To date, the potential of mHealth apps for promoting mental health among medical students is largely untapped because they seem to lack familiarity with mHealth. In addition, little is known about medical students’ preferences regarding mHealth apps for mental health promotion. There is a need for guidance on how to promote competence-based learning on mHealth apps in medical education. Objective The aim of this case study is to pilot an innovative concept for an educative workshop following a participatory co-design approach and to explore medical students’ preferences and ideas for mHealth apps through the design of a hypothetical prototype. Methods We conducted a face-to-face co-design workshop within an elective subject with 26 participants enrolled at a medical school in Germany on 5 consecutive days in early March 2020. The aim of the workshop was to apply the knowledge acquired from the lessons on e–mental health and mHealth app development. Activities during the workshop included group work, plenary discussions, storyboarding, developing personas (prototypical users), and designing prototypes of mHealth apps. The workshop was documented in written and digitalized form with the students’ permission. Results The participants’ feedback suggests that the co-design workshop was well-received. The medical students presented a variety of ideas for the design of mHealth apps. Among the common themes that all groups highlighted in their prototypes were personalization, data security, and the importance of scientific evaluation. Conclusions Overall, this case study indicates the feasibility and acceptance of a participatory design workshop for medical students. The students made suggestions for improvements at future workshops (eg, use of free prototype software, shift to e-learning, and more time for group work). Our results can be (and have already been) used as a starting point for future co-design workshops to promote competence-based collaborative learning on digital health topics in medical education.

This research attempts to focus on Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) and the optimization of the RMA solutions. In the meantime, this research establishes RMA Diagnosis Checklist, Innovative RMA Process system, and a number of suggested solutions for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). This research has important implications as it optimizes RMA solutions to B2B problems for SMEs, provides useful information on effective RMA service policies for B2B marketing decisions and creates a general awareness of the importance and rationale of RMA. Finally, this study provides RMA as a diagnostic tool and strategic tactic for SMEs.

The article presents a system of innovative effects, which forms the basis of the competitive and innovative concept of the enterprise. The advantage of the new concept is that it allows us to give a comprehensive assessment of the innovative activity of the enterprise based on indicators of the innovation effect.

In the materials of the section of the monograph, the competitive and innovative concept of the enterprise is formed, according to which it is considered as an independent socio-economic competitive system, which includes four subsystems: creating the competitiveness of the enterprise; ensuring the competitiveness of goods; forming and rational use of competitive advantages, including territorial ones; ensuring high profitability of the enterprise. A system of incentives for the work of employees of the enterprise has been developed based on a competitive and innovative approach in the context of three directions: the formation of competitive advantages of the enterprise, increasing the competitiveness of products and enterprises, maximizing the profits of the enterprise. Competitive and innovation-oriented labor incentives solve simultaneously the task of activating innovation activity and increasing the demand for innovations and innovations.

This article addresses hazard reduction in deep excavations. The authors present a possible combination of prestressing of concrete structures (from bridge engineering) and prestressed structures of diaphragm walls from geotechnical engineering science. This innovative concept has not yet been shown in scientific articles. The “Sofistik” software (with TENDON module–SYSP/AXES/TOPP/TGEO) and its use is shown, with graphical presentations of the suggested solution. The authors compare the provided solution through usage of Sofistik and Plaxis software. The results show possible strengthening of sustainable construction by limitation of hazards and decreasing costs (via limitation of use of expensive steel reinforcement).

Abstract The use of glass elements in civil engineering is spreading in the last years beyond merely aesthetic functions for their ease of installation and production. Nonetheless, the structural performance of such materials in any condition of use is object of investigation. In this scenario, the paper analyses the performance of an innovative concept of tensegrity floor (Patent no 0001426973) characterized by a particular steel-glass adhesive junction that permits a profitable structural cooperation between such basically different materials. As known, at the base of the effectiveness of tensegrity structures lies the correct tensioning of metal strands which are devoted at keeping the rigid elements compressed. The tensioning level is then responsible of the actual deformation of the structure, which is of course of uttermost importance while speaking of civil applications. To address this issue with the adequate level of confidence required by construction practice, a mechatronic servo-system is proposed, aimed at maintaining, and modifying when needed, the stress state of the metal cables to adjust the deformation of the upper plane in response to varying loads. Three different actuation schemes, with different levels of realization complexity, are analysed and compared in simulated environment by means of a hybrid multibody-finite elements model.

This article discusses the prerequisites for the implementation and ways of using blended learning technology in higher education institutions, with special attention to the sphere of training of students of pedagogical specialties in Eastern Europe. The innovative concept of blended learning requires thoroughness in preparation, the right attitude to the educational process, and the correctness of all participants in the educational process. That is why practical developments in this direction are relevant in modern education, where pandemic changes have contributed to the development of online education technologies. This study aims to establish the effectiveness of the use of blended learning technology, its impact on the success of higher education applicants, and the quality of education in general. Additionally, was evaluated the pedagogical technology by the participants of the educational process. The main methods are the method of pedagogical experiment and interviewing for theoretical research are used descriptive method, synthesis, and analysis. The main hypothesis is that blended learning is an effective, convenient, and efficient pedagogical technology, which is a necessary component of modern university education. The result of the pedagogical experiment should establish the level of blended education technology effectiveness for students of pedagogical specialties in the conditions of the modern educational paradigm. In the future, it is worth continuing to develop the innovative concept of blended learning in educational practice in a harmonious combination of online and offline learning.

The article presents an innovative concept of a comparative dictionary that allows to reflect the objective analysis of the similar and different aspects in axiologically oriented paremiological systems of the East Slavic languages. Comprehensive collected dictionaries that include tens of thousands of Russian, Ukrainian and Belarusian proverbs, found in handwritten and printed collections of the last four centuries, have been used for this research. The expediency of including not only paroemias denotatively correlated with basic universal values, but also other proverbs associated with the category of evaluation in the object of the dictionary linguo-axiological description is justified. Based on the material of one of these axiological dyads – fast / slow – the features of structuring the thematic headings of the axiological comparative dictionary of East Slavic proverbs are shown. The system of parameterization of the material based on the results of its structural-semantic, historical-etymological and comparative linguo-axiological analysis is viewed through the example of macro-entries. Based on the material of the considered paroemias, it was found out that the national distinguishing characteristic of East Slavic paroemias consists not in their axiological content but in the form of its expression. The prospects of using the proposed model of the dictionary description of paroemias and phraseological units in the practice of axiological lexicography are emphasized.
