This paper is concerned with designing a networked controller for a mixed flow two-spool turbofan aeroengine with aging and deterioration. Firstly, the state-space representation of the aeroengine considering aging and deterioration is identified, by which the engine system with aging and deterioration is modeled as an uncertain linear system. Then based on this uncertain linear system, theoretical results from the networked control systems and the regional pole assignment are introduced to formulate the networked engine control design in the form of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). By solving these LMIs simultaneously, a networked engine controller is obtained which guarantees both the robustness against delay/dropout and the satisfactory dynamic performance. Finally, the proposed method is applied to an aerothermodynamic component-level engine simulator to demonstrate its validity and applicability. The corresponding delay/dropout margin is also calculated, which provides reference for the future development of the distributed engine control system.

The network disturbance effect can be considered as either a perturbation or as a pure time delay for the exchanged signals. The network-induced time delay is one of the main challenges when a network is inserted in the feedback loops of a control system. In this paper, our objective is to improve the behavior of a Networked Control System (NCS) by analyzing the time-delay given that the decentralized control design method is adopted. First, we review an observer-based control method for decentralized control systems. Second, we establish a map between the decentralized non-networked system, and the typical NCS state-space representation. The main idea the mapping is to put the Decentralized Networked Control System (DNCS) in a general form and then map the resulting system to the typical NCS form. Third, we derive the global dynamics of the DNCS. Fourth, an upper bound for the time-delay is derived that guarantees the stability of LTI DNCSs. Finally, we present a numerical example that illustrates the applicability of the derived bound.

Networked control system is a closed loop system in which information or data travel through the communication network. The presence of communication network will increase time delay and information losses. Due to these losses and delay the performance of the system decreases. This paper represents an analysis to find the stability of the networked control system with the varying time hindrances present in the network. In this research, it has been assumed that the delay in time is less than the sampling period. The stability conditions for NCS have been procured with the use of the Lyapunov function approach and has been described in terms of LMI(Linear Matrix Inequality). This examination confirm the adequate state of stability through MATLAB simulation and the numerical case demonstrates the outcome.

For Networked Control System (NCS) with random network-induced delay and packet loss, an observer is designed to reconstruct the states using output values. A piece-wise time-delay strategy and the timestamp technique are used, improving the system performance. Depending on whether data dropout occurs or not, system is modeled as an Asynchronous Dynamical System (ADS), and theorem guaranteeing the system closed-loop stability is also given. Based on Lyapunov and Linear Matrix Inequality (LMI), controller gain and observer gain are solved and TrueTime toolbox is used to verify the effectiveness of the algorithm.

This paper investigate the problem of Robust H∞ filtering for stochastic networked control system with nonlinearities and missing measurements. In this paper, missing measurements and nonlinearities are considered. The sufficient conditions for the existence of the filter are given, thus, guaranteeing the filter error system exponentially stable in the mean-square sense and the performance satisfies a prescribed level by employing the new Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional and linear matrix inequality technique, some new sufficient conditions are obtained.

This paper is concerned with the robust fault-tolerant tracking control problem for networked control system (NCS). Firstly, considering the locally overlapped switching law widely existed in engineering applications, the NCS is modeled as a locally overlapped switched polytopic system to reduce designing conservatism and solving complexity. Then, switched parameter dependent fault-tolerant tracking controllers are constructed to deal with the asynchronous switching phenomenon caused by the updating delays of the switching signals and weighted coefficients. Additionally, the global uniform asymptotic stability in the mean (GUAS-M) and desired weightedl2performance are guaranteed by combining the switched parameter dependent Lyapunov functional method with the average dwell time (ADT) method, and the feasible conditions for the fault-tolerant tracking controllers are obtained in the form of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Finally, the performance of the proposed approach is verified on a highly maneuverable technology (HiMAT) vehicle’s tracking control problem. Simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed method.

In order to achieve remote control of brushless direct-current motor, real-time communication network is introduced into brushless direct-current motor control system. This paper deals with the problem of switching between an open-loop estimator and a closed-loop estimator for compensating packet dropout of brushless direct-current motor networked control system. A sufficient condition for stabilization of brushless direct-current motor networked control system is presented by multiple Lyapunov-like functions, and controller is designed by means of linear matrix inequalities. Simulation results show the feasibility and efficiency of the method.

Considering the parameter’s uncertainty of Maglev networked control system, a fuzzy fault-tolerant control method possessing integrity based on T-S model was proposed with sensor data dropouts. When the sensor data of maglev networked system drops out, the state variable sampled at last control period is adopted by the controller. By setting different fault models of sensors and actuators, the fuzzy discrete close-loop model of maglev system was built with system parameter’s uncertainty. A passive integrality control method against sensor and actuator failures was designed with Linear Matrix Inequation (LMI). Simulation results well proved the effectiveness of the algorithm.
