China is still facing the double challenges of over nutrition and malnutrition. One of the main reasons is the lack of residents’ understanding of the nutritional value of food. Quantified self, as a measure of consumer self-activity, has been used to analyze food consumption behavior recently. Although the research results are increasing, the conclusions are not consistent. What’s more, previous literatures did not consider food consumption behavior based on the theory of information perception and the risk perception theory. In addition to obtaining information through their own human capital for quantitative activities, consumers will also obtain information through social networks. In view of the above understanding, this study uses experimental design and field survey to obtain data, uses Heckman two-step method and PLS path modeling method to analyze the impact of consumers’ quantified self-behavior on their health food consumption, and discusses the moderating role of social networks based on the perspective of complex network. The results show that (1) consumers’ health awareness can promote their choice of quantified self-behavior, (2) consumers’ quantified self-behavior is helpful to promote their purchase intention and purchase scale of healthy food, and (3) social networks play a positive moderating role in consumers’ quantified self-influence on their healthy food consumption. Both emotional networks and instrumental networks have significant moderating effect, but the formal is stronger. This article not only considers the relationship between food consumption behavior and social network but also the enhances literature based on the theory of information perception and the risk perception theory.

Individual perception of disaster risk is not only the product of individual factors, but also the product of social interactions. However, few studies have empirically explored the correlations between rural residents’ flat social networks, trust in pyramidal channels, and disaster-risk perceptions. Taking Sichuan Province—a typical disaster-prone province in China—as an example and using data from 327 rural households in mountainous areas threatened by multiple disasters, this paper measured the level of participants’ disaster-risk perception in the four dimensions of possibility, threat, self-efficacy, and response efficacy. Then, the ordinary least squares method was applied to probe the correlations between social networks, trust, and residents’ disaster-risk perception. The results revealed four main findings. (1) Compared with scores relating to comprehensive disaster-risk perception, participants had lower perception scores relating to possibility and threat, and higher perception scores relating to self-efficacy and response efficacy. (2) The carrier characteristics of their social networks significantly affected rural residents’ perceived levels of disaster risk, while the background characteristics did not. (3) Different dimensions of trust had distinct effects on rural residents’ disaster-risk perceptions. (4) Compared with social network variables, trust was more closely related to the perceived level of disaster risks, which was especially reflected in the impact on self-efficacy, response efficacy, and comprehensive perception. The findings of this study deepen understanding of the relationship between social networks, trust, and disaster-risk perceptions of rural residents in mountainous areas threatened by multiple disasters, providing enlightenment for building resilient disaster-prevention systems in the community.

In a college in Avcilar—Istanbul was chosen for the survey area. This study is proposed to discover the effect of TV food advertising on children as a target group. This survey will make use of statistical techniques Hypothesis was conveyed to show the significance ANOVA and factor analysis used. Also, SPSS statistical tool used for analyzing hypothesis. Results show that all of the four factors, food advertisement, TV advertisement, musical advertisement and musical advertisement affects the children’s food consumption behavior, the results emphasis on the reality of this hypothesis and its true, and importance of it and also show that in this research obtained the result which wanted. However, regression equation can be used to estimate. In this case, according to regression analysis, TV Advertisement and Musical Advertising can be used to estimate children’s food consumption behavior scores.

Abstract Despite numerous scholarly attempts, there is a lack of consensus regarding the relevance of various factors influencing consumer’s intention to purchase organic food. The purpose of this study is to asses the impact of subjective and personal norms on consumer attitude toward buying organic food. Moreover, this study aims to explore the moderating role of contextual factors - product knowledge and consumer scepticism on the norms- attitude link. Data were collected through an online survey on a sample of 212 organic food buyers in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Moderated regression analysis was used to test the hypothesized relations between the constructs of interest. Findings indicate the subjective and personal norms are positively and significantly related to consumer attitude toward organic food purchases. Also, our findings revealed that product knowledge strengthens the subjective norms-attitude relationship, while consumer scepticism toward organic food claims weakens the subjective norms-attitude link. This study informs producers, marketers, and policy-makers about the relative importance of norms, scepticism, and knowledge in the context of organic food consumption.

The main objective of the paper is to explore the impact of health perception and health-related determinants on achieving healthy food consumption among the elderly and to indicate how possession and importance of different determinants influence the eating behaviour of the elderly population. In our research 18 specific determinants and their manifestation in healthy food consumption were explored. The purpose of the exploration of health perception is to identify seniors’ beliefs about food and health-related aspects. Empirical research was conducted on a sample of 400 elderly participants aged above 65 years and living in their own flats. The relationship between health perceptions, health-related determinants and healthy eating behaviour was confirmed by employing correlation analysis. These findings can be used also in other areas such as food choice motives, where behaviour can be investigated by exploring the contribution of various determinants.

This article briefly reviews the different theoretical approaches that are put forward to relate a preference for variety to an individual's purchasing and consumption behavior. This article reviews the existing empirical evidence on the demand for variety by discussing various ways to measure variety in food consumption. It focuses on preferences in explaining differences in individual behavior and introduces an additional approach to understanding consumers' demand for variety, which is based on the theory of household production. It summarizes a few stylized facts emanating from this literature on the impact of various demographic and socioeconomic characteristics of households and consumers on their demand for food variety. It finally addresses some issues that have been neglected in the economic analysis of the demand for food variety.

As a result of the increase in global climate change and the development of social networks, the study of ecotourism and the impact of social networks has been getting greater attention. Nonetheless, research examining the impact ofsocial networks on ecotourismhas been limited. This study investigates the relationship between ease of use, perceived usefulness, wordof-mouth (WOM), perceived trust, and tourist attitude towards ecotourism, and examines the moderating role of perceived risk on these relationships in the context of Vietnam. The regression analysis was conducted with data from answers of 231 respondents. The results show that perceived trust has the largest impact on tourist attitude towards ecotourism, which is followed by perceived usefulness. WOM communication has the least impact. The study also highlights the role of perceived risk in moderating the relationship between social networks and tourist attitudes.
