Recorded electroencephalography (EEG) signals can be represented as square matrices, which have been extensively analyzed using mathematical methods to extract invaluable information concerning brain functions in terms of observed electrical potentials; such information is critical for diagnosing brain disorders. Several studies have revealed that certain such square matrices—in particular, those related to so-called “elementary EEG signals”—exhibit properties similar to those of prime numbers in which every square EEG matrix can be regarded as a composite of these signals. A new approach to ordering square matrices is pivotal to extending the idea of square matrices as composite numbers. In this paper, several ordering concepts are investigated and a new technique for ordering matrices is introduced. Finally, some properties of this matrix order are presented, and the potential applications of this technique to analyzing EEG signals are discussed.

Instant Insanity [1] consists of four cubes, each of whose six faces are colored with one of the four colors: red, blue, white, and green. The object is to stack the cubes in such a way that each of the four colors appears on each side of the resulting column. See figure 1 below[2]. Traditionally, this could be solved using graph theory. However, in this article, we introduce a new technique to solve the problem without using graph theory. We also used a Perl programming language to implement the new approach for the Instant Insanity.

We introduce interference-contrast optical activity (ICOA) as a new technique for probing the chirality of anisotropic samples and more. ICOA could underpin a new class of ‘chiral microscopes’, with potential applications spanning the range of chirality and beyond. Two possible versions of ICOA are described explicitly; one designed to probe the optical rotation of a transparent sample regardless of the sample’s linear birefringence (ICOA-OR) and another designed to probe gradients in the optical rotation of a transparent sample (ICOA-GOR). Simulated results for α -quartz lead us to suggest that ICOA-GOR might be applied to help monitor the growth of chiral crystals in the pharmaceutical industry. Possible directions for future research are highlighted.

The purpose of this article is to emphasise the importance of basic research in the advancement of theory and clinical technique. To illustrate the power of such a strategy the theory and imagery technique of Implosive (Flooding) Therapy will be briefly described along with a recent modification that has resulted in the development of a new technique which is capable of reactivating all past traumatic memories responsible for the development and maintenance of psychopathology. This new approach has resulted in a number of important discoveries that challenge many currently held beliefs.

This paper presents a new technique for information hiding in Arabic language. The technique uses text steganography to hide the information. Considering the existence of Harakat (Fatha, Kasra and Damma) in the languages a new approach of reversing the Fatha has been developed for message hiding. The technique has been also evaluated to ensure its quality. This technique can be applied on other languages like Persian, Sindhi and other Regional languages.

Nondestructive testing (NDT) methods has been increased within recent years depending on the needs of industry, parallel to new technological developments. Many studies have focused on thermal imagining, magnetic flux analysis or both, which are used in order to detect the deformation on surface and under the surface. In this study a new technique is suggested to eliminate the perturbations which are distorting effects of one point cameras in terms of perspective. A new integration is also proposed in this research such as using image recognition with magnetic flux analysis. Taking advantage of this integration and the new approach to image processing, both the surface and the inside of a mechanical product can be tested properly.

Deformities of burn scars in the chin and upper neck are a tragedy for patients and pose a great challenge to plastic surgeons due to limited available methods for the reconstruction of three-dimensional appearance. In this paper, we present a new technique for the correction of cervicomental angle with a dermal fat flap. Fourteen patients ages 18 to 24-year-old with extensive neck deformities were enrolled in the study. During the operation, first, we deepithelialized a triangular scar area in the upper neck, then created a dermal fat flap and flip it up to the chin, restoring the chin shape and volume, after that for subsequent reconstruction of cervicomental angle, after releasing skin from lateral sides of the triangle defect, we approximated the AB and AC line to the upper edge of the defect by V-Y advancement. The remaining defect is covered with a full-thickness skin graft. In all cases, the chins were reshaped with a dermal fat flap. The mean cervicomental angle was 144+14.6° preoperatively, which was reduced to 108.9+6.15° postoperatively. The neck and chin were preserved with better contours. This is a new technique that has never been described before in the literature, and it is innovative compared to the traditional techniques. Good cosmetic outcomes make this technique preferable for all burn neck deformities with an obtunded cervicomental angle.
