As organizations become larger it becomes increasingly difficult to share lessons-learned across their disconnected units allowing individuals to learn vicariously from each other's experiences. This lesson-learned information is often unsolicited by the recipient group or individual and required an individual or group to react to the information to yield benefits for the organization. Data was collected using 39 interviews and 582 survey responses that proved the effects of information usefulness, related human intermediary activities, and an individual's perceived discretion have on the review and subsequent adoption of unsolicited lessons-learned information.

Abstract The LeadingAge LTSS Center @UMass Boston has worked with the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI), service recipients, researchers, and providers since 2017 to understand the obstacles and creative solutions for meaningful and effective engagement in research. The LTSS Center’s work has been informed by multiple engagement frameworks, including Dr. McGaffigan’s 2011 PAE Attention Framework, the result of a multi-state, multi-site research study examining the factors to user engagement in Cash & Counseling programs. In this presentation, we will apply the PAE Attention Framework (2011), the PCORI Engagement Rubric (2014), and the NHS INVOLVE Framework (2015) to three research study case scenarios to understand the strategies used, outcomes realized, and factors influencing engagement success. Lessons learned from each and their application to future research will be discussed, including ethical considerations. Part of a symposium sponsored by the Patient/Person Engagement in Research Interest Group.

<span>This study reports the findings of an investigation of the factors influencing the use and usefulness of wikis in an introductory, undergraduate information systems course. Informed by the media choice, technology acceptance model from information systems research, and group collaborative learning research from the education literature, a survey instrument was developed and administered across the entire course. The study found that wiki use was influenced by the student's prior expertise with wikis, with their perceived usefulness of wikis being strongly influenced by their teachers' attitudes towards the technology, and the ease of access to the wikis. The students' overall attitude towards wikis was largely influenced by the extent to which they saw wikis as helping with their assignment work, and their intention to use wikis in the future was driven by their perception of wiki's usefulness. The paper concludes with an outline of the lessons learned from the study and recommendations for instructors who are thinking of using wikis in their teaching.</span>

The paper examines factors influencing development of the public warehouse system. Public warehouse system primary role is to provide stakeholders in agribusiness financing against stored commodity as collateral. Case study is conducted in Serbia. Interviews with banks, analyses of the public warehouse results, computational analyses and intensive literature research were conducted. Most important factors for lending against warehouse receipts from bankers' perspectives are guarantee system performances followed by efficient enforcement procedure, efficient public warehouse surveillance, favourable central bank's rating of warehouse receipts and subsidies. According to the results, Serbian public warehouse legal framework is properly established resulting in fast development of the public warehouse system in first years. After 2014 system deteriorated primarily due to the absence of inspection and Indemnity fund low guarantee performance. Lessons learned from Serbia point out that besides proper legal framework, implementation and favourable business environment are paramount for successful public warehouse system.
