<span lang="EN-US">Islanding is when an area of the electrical distribution system is isolated from the electrical system while being powered by distributed generators. An important condition for the interconnection of power plants and distribution systems is the ability of the power plant to detect islands. The presented and proposed method is a combination of best active sandia frequency shift (SFS) method with the intelligent fuzzy logic controller, which has been tested in distributed production using the island detection function. And the choice to improve the method by fuzzy logic control (FLC) is retained, as this process is more effective in decreasing the non-</span><span lang="EN-US">detection zone (NDZ) and in further improving the efficiency of the islanding detection system. This paper proposes a new active islanding detection technique controlled by a fuzzy logic controller, for grid connected photovoltaic (PV) inverters. In addition, the efficiency and performance of the proposed method strategy for islanding detection has been analyzed and tested in the various situations of the network. In addition, the results of the simulations with the <span lang="EN-US">power </span><span lang="EN-US">simulation (</span>PSIM) software will be provided to illustrate the main conclusions and the development of the control. Thus, will be used to show the feasibility and validity of the proposed new algorithm.</span>

This paper proposes the concept of distributed static compensator for compensation of harmonics, unbalances and reactive powers. The main aim of this diesel electrical generator is to generate electrical power and transfer to the distribution point. The main problems occurred in this distribution systems are voltage distributions, interruptions and variations in distribution system also called as power quality problems. The FACTS controllers are classified into different types based on improvement of power quality. These facts devices are classified based on their construction and connection to the line i.e. called as series and shunt converters. This paper also concentrate on the concept of fuzzy logic controller for getting better performance as compared with the previous conventional controllers. Basically, the fuzzy controller has the advantage of low steady state error and also it reduces the These experimental diagrams are verified in Matlab/Simulink and the results are verified for both PI and Fuzzy controllers.

This paper accord the Power Quality interpretation to make apparent for electricity consumers been made better power quality with application of DVR.Despite of advantages of DVR, it focuses full extent of the relatedness surrounded by loads, various power networks. DVR is most accepted power device which could be used for better solution for the disturbances of voltages in distribution systems for sensitive loads. For efficiency considerations, the DVR mostly hinge on an act of presenting the control modus, and can be harnessed to switching the inverters. Reliability of hysteresis voltage control with ease in operation under variable switching frequency can be trustworthy for a DVR can introduced and the proposed methods achieves good compensation of voltages under disturbances and can be seen by the simulation by using fuzzy logic controller.

This paper summarizes the literature on detection of islanding resulting from distributed generating capabilities in a power distribution system, with emphasis on the rural distribution systems. It is important to understand the legacy technology and equipment in the rural distribution electrical environment due to the growth of power electronics and the potential for adding the new generations of intelligent sensors. The survey identified four areas needing further research: 1. Robustness in the presence of distribution grid disturbances; 2. the future role of artificial intelligence in the islanding application; 3. more realistic standard tests for the emerging electrical environment; 4. smarter sensors. In addition, this paper presents a synchro-phasor-based islanding detection approach based on a wireless sensor network developed by the University of Texas at Austin. Initial test results in a control hardware-in-the-loop (CHIL) simulation environment suggest the effectiveness of the developed method.

A distribution system is one of the most important parts of power systems which show a connection between power plants and loads. Each connection has an economic affection in transferring power from sources to loads. Power companies expect to find out an optimal configuration with great benefits which is the lowest power loss. This paper proposes an application of a genetic algorithm for finding out an optimal configuration which has the lowest power loss with constrains such as: unisolated loads, limited powers in lines and transformers and lowest voltage drops. The effectiveness of the proposal is confirmed through simulation results on power systems [3] as well as comparisons with other results of [1], [3], [6], [8]

The power quality problems can be defined as the difference between the quality of power supplied and the quality of power required. Recently a large interest has been focused on a power quality domain due to: disturbances caused by non-linear loads and Increase in number of electronic devices. Power quality measures the fitness of the electric power transmitted from generation to industrial, domestic and commercial consumers. At least 50% of power quality problems are of voltage quality type. Voltage sag is the serious power quality issues for the electric power industry and leads to the damage of sensitive equipments like, computers, programmable logic controller (PLC), adjustable speed drives (ADS). The prime goal of this paper is to investigate the performance of the Fuzzy Logic controller based DVR in reduction the power disturbances to restore the load voltage to the nominal value and reduce the THD to a permissible value which is 5% for the system less than 69Kv. The modeling and simulation of a power distribution system have been achieved using MATLABL/Simulink. Different faults conditions and power disturbances with linear and non-linear loads are created with the proposed system, which are initiated at a duration of 0.8 sec and kept till 0.95 sec.

Islanding detection of Distributed Generation (DG) is considered as one of the most important aspects when interconnecting DGs to the distribution system. It was the crucial problem in distributed generation. This detection phenomenon having a great importance. These detection methods are divided into active and passive islanding detection. These two methods are based on changing in parameters such as frequency, voltage and current harmonics. But these methods have some challenges such as reduction in power quality and large Non Detection Zone (NDZ). In this paper, the proposed method is change of Total harmonic distortion (THD) will be studied for islanding detection diagnosis. The studied system was considered by following the standard IEEE-1547 and UL-1741.The system was simulated using MATLAB/ SIMULINK.
