Video monitoring systems are undergoing an evolution from conventional analog to digital clarification to provide better rate and security over internet protocols. In addition, analog surveillance becomes insufficient to face enormous demand of security of system contains more than hundreds of camera often deployed in hotels environments far away from room control. This paper presents the design and simulation of a video monitoring scheme in excess of a transmission control protocol/internet protocol (TCP/IP) system using MATLAB. Sophisticated cameras could record directly high-definition digital videos based on digital technology which simply communicate the control room relaying on ordinary internet protocol infrastructure networks. This technology provides a flexible network interface over a wide variety of heterogeneous technology networks. Though, the acceptance of IP designed for video monitoring pretense severe difficulties in terms of power processing, system dependability, required bandwidth, and security of networks. The advantage of IP based video monitoring system has been investigated over conventional analog systems and the challenges of the method are described. The open research issues are still requiring a final solution to permits complete abandon against conventional technology of analog methods. In conclusion, the method to tackle the purpose of video monitoring in actual operation is proposed and verified properly by means of model simulation.

This paper presents novel logic/software co-work architecture for embedded high definition image processing platform, which is built by the considerations of system level, board hardware level, and the tasks partition between CPU processing and programmable logic based on the latest launched System on Chip Field Programmable Gate Array (Soc FPGA) – Xilinx ZC7020. For this case, we comprehensive analyze of the critical data paths: the uniform Advanced Extensible Interface (AXI) processing between processing system (PS) and processing logic (PL), including high definition video pass through PL to PS and PS software processing send to PL for speed up. We have included the transplant of opensource Linux, multiprocessing cooperative control and boot loader in PS side. Since the general platform is proposed, a fire detection approach based on high definition image processing is implemented. Experiment results indicated the feasibility and universality of the embedded system architecture.

Designing a real-time BCI device requires an Electroencephalogram (EEG) acquisition system and a signal processing system to process that acquired data. EEG acquisition boards available in market are expensive and they are required to be connected to computer for any processing work. Various low cost Digital Signal Processor (DSP) boards available in market come with internal Analog to Digital converters and peripheral interfaces. The idea is to design a low cost EEG amplifier board that can be used with these commercially available DSP boards. The analog data from EEG amplifier can be converted to digital data by DSP board and sent to computer via an interface for algorithm development and further control operations. EEG amplifiers are highly affected by noise from environment. Proper noise reduction techniques are implemented and simulated in circuit design. Each filter stage and noise reduction circuit is evaluated for a low noise design.

In order to investigate the system performance, its necessary to select an even background point target as the imaging object. The system realizes the real-time sampling, processing and displaying infrared image through joint debugging the SOPC processing system. SOPC is a flexible and effective SOC solution because of its flexibilities of system design, reduction, extension, upgrading, etc. And its hardware and software system are programmable. We present and develop a wireless video monitoring system based on SOPC in this paper, and the system benefits the production of infrared imaging sets of higher performance, lower power consumption and smaller size.

Today the existing image processing systems widely used standard definition resolution. Which is not enough distinct. High definition (HD) and intelligence gradually become the developing trend of the image acquisition and processing system. Motion detection plays an important role in video surveillance system. The sign distribution features will be covered up by the use of the absolute differential image. In this article, a method to determine the motion direction of moving objects by using the sign distribution features in the differential image of two consecutive frames is proposed. To extract the characteristics of the moving object regions,Other parts as the background image is still. The transmission should been stopped, if there is no moving object. These should save storage space and reduce the demand for network speed. Experimental results show that algorithm of the method is suitable for computer processing.
