Suphisellus epleri sp. nov. is described from Veracruz, Mexico. The new species is characterized by (1) size; (2) elytra brownish-red, moderately punctate, each with three light-yellow spots; and (3) aedeagus with median lobe curved with width nearly uniform along its length. In appearance, S. epleri is very similar to S. neglectus Young 1979 with which it is here compared based on specimens collected from Colombia and Venezuela. Suphisellus epleri is distinguished by having a slightly broader anterior extremity of prosternal process and a slender median lobe that is not distinctly expanded at apex, as in S. neglectus. The first record of S. neglectus in Venezuela is also reported. Descriptions, images and illustrations of diagnostic characters, and differential diagnosis of S. epleri are provided.

A new species of the genus Hydaticus Leach, 1817, subgenus Prodaticus Sharp, 1882 (Coleoptera: Dytiscidae) has been discovered in the mountains of Cerros del Sira, Peru. It is here described as Hydaticus (Prodaticus) hauthi sp. nov.. It is morphologically similar to the Peruvian H. panguana Megna, Balke, Apenborn & Hendrich, 2019. The new species differs from H. panguana by its almost complete black dorsal surface and the shape of the median lobe. Diagnostic characters of both species, including illustrations of male genitalia and habitus, are presented, and a modified key for the 12 Neotropical species is provided.

In the present note Minitrechus, a new subgenus of <em>Trechus</em>, characterized in the 75 male by only the first tarsal segment dilated and dentate, and by much enlarged paramera, bearing three apical setae, clearly isolated from each other, is described. The new species, <em>Trechus</em> (<em>Minitrechus</em>) <em>gypaeti</em>, is light yellow in colour, rather flattened, with little eyes, pronotum not sinuate, with fore and hind angles blunt; third elytral stria with two discal setae. The median lobe of the aedeagus is short, stout, little arcuate, with a copulatory piece triangular, lanceolate and sharpened at the tip, little sclerified. Female gonostyli short and curved, bear a stout and long ensiform seta on the inner edge, flanked by two smaller ones.

A new genus and a new species, Haplodendron buzwilsoni, from the southeastern Australian mid bathyal are described. This is the first record of the family in the Southern Hemisphere IndoPacific. Diagnostic characters of the new genus are compared with those of other genera in the family. The possible significance of the joint possession, between the new genus and Dendrotion (Dendrotiidae), of a stalk carrying the antennulae and antennae is discussed. New observations on male reproductive structures are made.

AbstractA new species of the genus Pseudocalotes (P. dringi n. sp.) from the mountain forest of Western Malaysia is described. The holotype of the new species was formerly regarded as a syntype of P. floweri. A review of all species of the genus is given including a differential diagnosis and a key to the species. Diagnostic characters for the genera Bronchocela, Calotes, Dendragama were established. Paracalotes poilani and Pseudocophotis sumatrana, showing all diagnostic characters of the genus Pseudocalotes, are included in that genus. Members of Pseudocalotes of the Indochinese region can be differentiated from members inhabiting the Sunda region by the shape of the scales under the third toe.

A new species of the genus Pentacomia Bates, 1872 (restored to the original concept of the genus by Moravec 2018a) is described from Bolivia as P. paranigrimarginata sp. nov. The new species is compared to P. nigrimarginata Huber, 1999 of which the differential diagnosis and redescription are also given. Both species are illustrated with colour photographs of the habitus and diagnostic characters. A revised key to 12 recognized species of Pentacomia with illustrative figures of important diagnostic characters is given.

AbstractA new species of carabid beetles, Pterostichus hejkali sp. n. is described from Northwest Greece (type locality: Epirus District, Ioannina Prefecture, Ioannina Lake environs). Diagnostic characters include distinctive shape of the median lobe of aedeagus, of right paramere and of sexual modification on last visible sternum in males as well as shape of pronotum and size of body. Members of the new species are most similar to P. minor. A key to the identification of the Balkan taxa of Pseudomaseus is presented.

A new species of the genus Enanea (Coleoptera: Tenebrionidae: Diaperinae), E. baba sp. n., is described and illustrated from Southwest China, based on a male specimen from Dulongjiang in northwestern Yunnan. Diagnostic characters of the new species are provided. This is the first record of an Enanea species from the Chinese Mainland, which represents a remarkable extension of the known range of the genus.

Teredus Dejean is a genus of the poorly known family Teredidae, which, historically, includes only two species, restricted to Europe and North Africa. Teredus chinensis sp. nov. is here described, representing the first member of Teredidae found in China, which significantly extends the distribution of Teredus to East Asia. The diagnostic characters and information about the wood boring beetles associated with the new species are provided.

The group of species of Lachnaia tristigma (Lacordaire, 1848) is revised. Previously known taxa and diagnostic characters are reassessed, yielding clear limits for species based on male and female genitalia and not on variable and overlapping external characters. A diagnosis along with figures of the median lobe of aedeagus, endophallus and spermatheca are presented for the previously known species, L. pseudobarathraea Daniel & Daniel, 1898 and L. tristigma, as well as the newly described L. gallaeca n. sp.

The genus Acridurus Perez, Dominici, Hierro & Otte, 1995 is herein recorded for the first time from Cuba, based on a new species. Acridurus baracoae n. sp. is described on the basis of four specimens from three separate localities enclaved in the northeastern mountains of the main island (Holguín and Guantánamo Provinces). The description herein presented is supported by a thorough illustrative complement, which includes a precise map and color photographs of habitus, main morphological diagnostic characters and habitat.
