The object of this paper is to study the stability behaviours of the deterministic and stochastic versions of a two-species symmetric competition model. The logistic parameters of the competitive species are perturbed by colored noises or Ornstein-Uhlenbeck processes due to random environment. The Fokker-Planck equation has been used to obtain probability density functions. Here, we have also discussed the relationship between stability behaviours of this model in a deterministic environment and the corresponding model in a stochastic environment.

In this paper, we investigate a reaction-diffusive-advection two-species competition model with one delay and Dirichlet boundary conditions. The existence and multiplicity of spatially non-homogeneous steady-state solutions are obtained. The stability of spatially nonhomogeneous steady-state solutions and the existence of Hopf bifurcation with the changes of the time delay are obtained by analyzing the distribution of eigenvalues of the infinitesimal generator associated with the linearized system. By the normal form theory and the center manifold reduction, the stability and bifurcation direction of Hopf bifurcating periodic orbits are derived. Finally, numerical simulations are given to illustrate the theoretical results.

In this paper, we develop a conceptual framework of a innovation diffusion dynamics model in which multiple parallel innovations are effecting each other during the diffusion process. A mathematical model is proposed to explore the interaction and diffusion of three innovations simultaneously available in market. The stability analysis is carried out for various types of diffusions on such system both analytically and numerically. It is observed that the association between innovations in product market could be complementary, substitute, independent or competitive. The co-existence and extinction of innovation depends on the level of diffusion between the innovations and it may or may not be sensitive to initial distribution of innovations.

In this paper, we study a Lotka-Volterra competition model with two competing species moving randomly between two identical patches. A constant dispersal delay is incorporated into the dispersal process for each species. We show that the dispersal delays do not affect the stability and instability of all four symmetric equilibria. Numerical simulations are presented to demonstrate the effect of dispersal delays on the stability and instability of the symmetric coexistence equilibrium.

This paper focuses on the stability analysis of the Nanjung Water Diversion Twin Tunnels using convergence measurement. The Nanjung Tunnel is horseshoe-shaped in cross-section, 10.2 m x 9.2 m in dimension, and 230 m in length. The location of the tunnel is in Curug Jompong, Margaasih Subdistrict, Bandung. Convergence monitoring was done for 144 days between February 18 and July 11, 2019. The results of the convergence measurement were recorded and plotted into the curves of convergence vs. day and convergence vs. distance from tunnel face. From these plots, the continuity of the convergence and the convergence rate in the tunnel roof and wall were then analyzed. The convergence rates from each tunnel were also compared to empirical values to determine the level of tunnel stability. In general, the trend of convergence rate shows that the Nanjung Tunnel is stable without any indication of instability. Although there was a spike in the convergence rate at several STA in the measured span, that spike was not replicated by the convergence rate in the other measured spans and it was not continuous. The stability of the Nanjung Tunnel is also confirmed from the critical strain analysis, in which most of the STA measured have strain magnitudes located below the critical strain line and are less than 1%.
