This paper investigates the small sample properties of minimum chi-square estimates of the parameters of stochastic brand choice models. It also describes and evaluates a statistical test which is appropriate for discriminating between two stochastic brand choice models when one is a constrained version of the other.

The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of career and continuing professional training on work motivation among BICICI employees. To achieve this, a sociological survey was carried out among 221 workers in this banking structure. These workers were selected using the probabilistic method. The method of data collection in the field was carried out by means of a questionnaire comprising essentially four axes. The chi-square statistical test was used to process the collected data. This treatment resulted in two levels of outcomes. One reveals that the career profile determines the motivation to work in the study subjects. The other shows that the motivation at work of the respondents depends on continuing vocational training. Herzberg’s bifactorial theory and Becker’s human capital assisted in interpreting these results.

Abstract I analyze properties of misspecified discrete choice models and the efficacy of Huber-White (sometimes called ‘robust’) standard errors. The Huber-White correction provides asymptotically correct standard errors for a consistent estimator from a misspecified model. There is little justification for using Huber-White standard errors in discrete choice models since misspecification usually leads to inconsistent estimators. I derive necessary and sufficient conditions for consistency of the maximum likelihood estimator of any potentially misspecified random utility model (e.g. conditional logit). I also derive (easily satisfied) sufficient conditions for consistent estimation of the sign of the data generating parameter. It follows the researcher can consistently test the sign (or nullity) of the parameter from the data generating process using the (possibly) misspecified conditional logit. I investigate small sample properties of the Huber-White estimator via a simulation study and find the correction provides little to no improvement for inferences.

Tuberculosis is a global problem and until now. In Indonesia tuberculosis became thenumber one killer among infectious diseases in the other. The disease caused by theMycobacterium tuberculosis germ is easily transmitted, due out the entry of germs from the bodyonly through the air. The study is quantitative using analitic approach of cross sectional.Research method with cross sectional approach (cut the latitude) is done at 379 samplesusing the technique of sampling groups two levels (two-stage cluster sampling). The results of the statistical test of Pearson Chi Square p = 0000 value obtained is smallerthan α = 0.05, so that there is a meaningful relationship between inferred levels of education withexamination of the behavior of tuberculosis in Pamekasan.

Farmers in the processing of land and plants need pesticides to eradicate pests and weeds. Pesticide is a material that has many benefits for the sustainability of the world of agricultural production. Many plant destruction organisms that can reduce yields can be minimized with pesticides, but on the other hand, pesticides can harm the health of the farmers. To prevent the danger of using pesticides against self-purification, one must use personal protective equipment (PPE) in a complete and precise manner. The purpose of this research is to determine what are the factors related to the use of personal protective equipment on pesticide user farmers in Taeno village in 2019. This research is analytical research with a cross-sectional approach. This research sample amounted to 105 farmers—data collection using questionnaires, interviews, and observation. The data obtained is then processed with a statistical test of chi-square. Based on statistical test bivariate of knowledge variables associated with APD, the attitude variables are not associated with the use of the PPE, and the action variables are associated with the use of the PPE. The results showed that the variables associated with PPE use are variable knowledge (ρ = 0.025) and action variables (ρ = 0.015). The unrelated variables are the attitude variables (ρ = 0.137)—knowledge and action variables associated with PPE use.

The nursing of elderly in Tresna Werda X nursing home is mainly based on the workrout in and that the caregiver have not yet received training on the basic needs of the elderly that they should meet. Therefore, the researcher wanted to know the relations of the work culture of caregiver according to the elderly’s perception with the incidence of neglect in PSTW X West Sumatera. This study used Descriptive correlation design with cross sectional approach. The method of sampling used total sampling, which amounts to 75. The statistical test used chi square and logistic regression. The results of the study show that all of the elderly experienced neglect; there is a relation between attitude towards what is conducted, work environment, time with elderly neglect; no relation between behavior in making decisions with elderly neglect. The attitude towards what is conducted has the most impacton the incidence of elderly neglect. It is concluded that the caregiver should have a better understanding on their roles and functions as the caregivers to the elderly. Moreover, it is recommended that the authorities should put nursing personnel in accordance with the roles, functions and competence, and recruit nurses in accordance with the needs of the nursing home.
