This study aimed to develop Turkish Teacher Candidates’ Self-Efficacies to Use Listening Strategies Scale. Therefore, the study was designed in sequential explanatory design, and sequential timing has been followed. First, the interview study was conducted with 40 participants, and the qualitative data were analyzed through content analysis. Subsequently, an item pool was designed via the findings obtained from the qualitative findings and literature review. Afterward, the draft form was applied to Turkish teacher candidates and 345 valid forms were obtained. As a result of the exploratory factor analysis conducted for the data obtained, we determined that the items were collected in four factors in total. The Cronbach’s alpha coefficient was calculated as .927 for the scale. Confirmatory factor analysis was performed in the last stage, and finally, we found that all factors are statistically significant and the obtained model has a good fit. In addition, we determined that the qualitative findings have chronological categorization and the quantitative findings have thematical categorization. This means that thematic categorization to the listening strategies can be more appropriate for listening skills. Consequently, the scale can be used in determining the self-efficacy perceptions of Turkish teacher candidates to use listening strategies. Furthermore, the scale can contribute to similar studies in the literature.

The purpose of this study is to develop a Teachers' Autonomy on Curriculum Scale. For this aim, an item pool consisted of 50-item was prepared for the study. These scale items were reduced to 29 items after expert review and pilot implementation. This preliminary form was applied to 178 science teachers working in secondary schools in Izmir, Turkey. Validity and reliability studies have been done and Cronbach's Alpha internal consistency coefficient was calculated as .82. The scale is four-dimensional and reveals 67.4% of the total variance. The scale has four sub-scales (Professional Autonomy, Process Autonomy, Assessment Autonomy, and Planning Autonomy). Confirmatory factor analysis results support that the scale consisted of four subscales (RMSEA= .05, CFI= .98, AGFI= .89, RMR= .05, GFI= .93, SRMR= .06).

The purpose of this study is to develop the "Bicycle Handicap Scale (BHS)" and to test the validity of the scale to demonstrate the obstacles bicyclists encounter. 292 bicycle riders cycling in Eskisehir and Ankara for various purposes for transportation or recr[1]eational purposes in their daily life were participated voluntarily. Explanatory and confirmatory factor analysis was performed in order to ensure the validity of the BEÖ structure. As a result of the exploratory factor analysis, a 5-dimensional structure was obtained on the scale. In the confirmatory factor analysis, five factorial structure was tested and it was determined that the obtained model was in accordance with the compliance criteria. According to this, BEÖ consists of 30 items consisting of 8 items in individual dimension, 5 items in law and regulation, 6 items in socio-cultural dimension, 7 items in physical and economic dimension and 4 items in infrastructure dimension. The internal consistency coefficient of the BEÖ was .92 for the scale, and between .89 and .73 for the subscales of the scale. As a result; It has been found that BEÖ is a useful measuring tool, developed to measure the attitudes of cyclists towards the obstacles encountered while riding a bicycle as a result of the validity and reliability studies conducted.Extended English abstract is in the end of PDF (TURKISH) file.ÖzetBu çalışmanın amacı, bisiklet kullanıcılarının karşılaştıkları engelleri ortaya koyabilmek amacıyla “Bisiklet Engelleri Ölçeği’ni (BEÖ)” geliştirmek ve ölçeğin geçerlik güvenirlik çalışmasını yapmaktır. The purpose of this study was to examine the validity and reliability of Perceived Autonomy Support Scale for Exercise Settings (PASSES; Hagger et al., 2007) from teacher and from peers in Turkish context. It was conducted with volunteer university students. 230 university students completed PASSES from teacher, and 142 university students completed PASSES from peers. Each scale has 12 items with a unidimension structure. The items were rated on a 7-point Likert type scale from totally disagree (1) to totally agree (7). Each scale was analyzed by using confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) to determine validity and by using Cronbach alpha value to determine reliability. The validity analyses for each scale showed good fit indexes in Turkish context. The reliability analyses also showed high reliability scores for each scale. Results were consistent with previous studies. It was suggested that PASSES from teacher and from peers can be used in Turkish context.

Being a significant dimension in affective behavior education, values are guiding concepts for explaining the cognitive and social structures. In the process of value acquisition, the tendency of individuals for the value being targeted for acquisition bears a great significance. In the present study, the main aim is to develop an assessment instrument that can determine the tendency levels for the scientific values among students. In this process, the related literature was reviewed and an item pool was established. The item pool was presented to the expert opinion and following the necessary revisions, it was applied to the sample. The sample consisted of 268 secondary school students. In order to determine the validity of the scale, exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis was conducted. As a result of the validity analyses, a 4-factor structure consisting of 27 items was obtained and each factor was respectively named as the following in accordance with theoretical framework; "Curiosity", "Creativity," "Criticism", and "Inquisitiveness". The Cronbach's Alpha internal consistency coefficient, corrected item correlations, and the stability levels were calculated in order to determine the reliability of the scale. As a result of the study, it was found that the Tendency Scale for Scientific Values consisting of 4 factors and 27 items was a valid and reliable tool that can be used for determining the level of tendency for scientific values.
