Export promotion programmes (EPPs) are argued to support firms’ export activity. However, the empirical evidence for the link between EPPs and exporting is inconclusive. We argue and demonstrate by using fuzzy set methods one can uncover configurations that combine the firm’s participation in specific EPPs, namely trade missions and fairs, together with certain firm-specific characteristics. We base our analysis on a sample of 641 Chilean exporters (2010-2015), and show regression results are mostly insignificant and with a much lower model fit level compared with our fuzzy set analysis. Our main findings illustrate that small, young and non-export-experienced firms gain the most from trade fairs and trade missions, which supports the notion that EPPs provide the information required in export markets. Objective – Leadership and innovation are two related concepts which have gained a lot of interest among researchers focusing on management and entrepreneurship. Research on these topics are important for the development of the dynamic workforce and are useful to various organisations. However, in the real world, the effectiveness of employee performance is considered as unsatisfactory meaning there is room for improvement. Methodology/Technique – Previous literature had found that Transformational Leadership and Team Innovation are among the key factors which can be used to improve employee performance. This study will examine and test the relationship between Transformational Leadership and Team Performance to understand how Team Innovation mediates this relationship. A total of 197 samples are collected from employees in Multinational Companies (MNC). The data was analyzed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 23. Findings – The findings indicate that Transformational Leadership has a significant positive impact on Team Performance. Further, Team Innovation mediates the relationship between Transformational Leadership and Team Performance. Novelty – The major implications of these findings are further explored. In particular, this paper contributes to leadership literature by recommending that team leaders aim to inspire and empower employees to achieve organizational goals. Type of Paper: Empirical. This article seeks to explain the frequency and tone of media attention for public organisations. Expectations are formulated on the impact of fundamental organisational features on the frequency and tone of coverage of public organisations. A fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA) is used to analyse the nuanced interplay between legal independence, primary task and organisational size. The results show that this configurational approach is necessary to understand which public organisations appear in the media and how. Legal independence, task and size do not operate independently, but combine in explaining the media attention for public organisations.

The topic of corruption has recently attracted a great deal of attention, yet there is still a lack of micro level empirical evidence regarding the determinants of corruption. Furthermore, the present literature has not investigated the effects of political interest on corruption despite the interesting potential of this link. We address these deficiencies by analyzing a cross-section of individuals, using the World Values Survey. We explore the determinants of corruption through two dependent variables (perceived corruption and the justifiability of corruption). The impact of political interest on corruption is explored through three different proxies, presenting empirical evidence at both the cross-country level and the within-country level. The results of the multivariate analysis suggest that political interest has an impact on corruption controlling for a large number of factors. JEL classification: K420, D720, 0170, J240

The purpose of the study examined Innovation and Market Mix on Growth of Export Firms: Empirical Evidence from Selected Export Firms in Kenya. The study applied the survey research design. The target population consisted of 770 export firms registered by Export Promotion Council. The directory of Export Promotion Council was the source of data. The sample frame was stratified into seven sub-sectors, namely: agricultural, manufacturing, commercial crafts, services, mining, industrial and energy. The sample size was 169 export firms. Data was collected using structured questionnaires. The study adopted descriptive inferential data analysis and structure Equation Modelling.Findings:indicated that Innovativeness Split Model yielded Ratio Index (2.013), p<0.05 hence significant, Innovativeness Split Model has aweak significant ; Ratio index (2.224)- less than 0.5 .In comparison,Innovative and MarketingMix Models differ indicates that constraining parameters worsened on overall model fit specifically on Innovativeness. The results further yielded a percentage error difference of 10% on the Innovativeness while percentage error difference of 1 % on Marketing Mix indicating that Marketing Mix was effective than Innovativeness Model .Conclusion: Results indicate a strong relationship between Marketing Mix and Growth of Export Firms and a low correlation between Innovativeness and Growth of Export Firms .Marketing Mix loaded higher than Innovativeness in support of Growth of Export Firms.Recommendations: Firms needs to focus on Marketing Mix,to carry out training and harness further research on Innovativeness.Contribution:were MarketingMixModel_A ,Innovativeness_B and the techniques employed in testing the model are evidence to add value on researches. Agricultural, manufacturing, commercial crafts, services, mining, industrial and energy.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the impact of public investment programs on the socio-economic development of territories. As a case, the federal target programs for the development of regions and investment programs of the financial development institution — Vnesheconombank, designed to solve the problems of regional development are considered. The impact of the public interventions were evaluated by the “difference in differences” method using Bayesian modeling. The results of the evaluation suggest the positive impact of federal target programs on the total factor productivity of regions and on innovation; and that regional investment programs of Vnesheconombank are improving the export activity. All of the investments considered are likely to have contributed to the reduction of unemployment, but their implementation has been accompanied by an increase in social inequality.
