Ion cyclotron range of frequencies (ICRF) heating will be the sole auxiliary heating method on SPARC for both full-field (Bt0 ~ 12 T) D–T operation and reduced field (Bt0 ~ 8 T) D–D operation. Using the fast wave at ~120 MHz, good wave penetration and strong single-pass absorption is expected for D–T(3He), D(3He), D(H) and 4He(H) heating scenarios. The dependences of wave absorption on ${k_\parallel }$ , 3He concentration, resonance location, antenna poloidal location and losses on alpha particles and ash have been studied. The antenna loading has been assessed by comparison with the Alcator C-Mod antennae. An antenna spectrum of ${k_\parallel }\sim 15\text{--}18\,{\textrm{m}^{ - 1}}$ is shown to be good for both core absorption and edge coupling. For the control of impurity sources, the antenna straps are rotated ~10° to be perpendicular to the B field and the straps can run with different power levels in order to optimize the antenna spectrum and to minimize the image current on the antenna frame. Combining the physics constraints with the SPARC port design, maintenance requirement and contingency against antenna failure during D–T operation, we plan to mount on the inner wall of the vacuum vessel a total of 12 4-strap antennae in 6 ports while keeping 3-strap antennae that are insertable and removable on port plugs as the backup option.

Recent four value HSDI Diesel engines are able to control the swirl intensity, in order to enhance the in-cylinder flow field at partial load without decreasing breathing capabilities at full load. Making reference to a current production engine, the purpose of this paper is to envestiage the influence of port design and flow-control strategies on both engine permeability and in-cylinder flow field. Using previously validated models, 3-D CFD simulations of the intake and compression strokes are performed in order to predict the in-cylinder flow patterns originated by the different configurations. The comparison between the two configurations in terms of airflow at full load indicates that Geometry 2 can trap 3.03% more air than Geometry 1, while the swirl intensity at IVC is reduced (−30%). The closure of one intake valve (the left one) is very effective to enhance the swirl intensity at partial load: the Swirl Ratio at IVC passes from 0.7 to 2.6 for Geometry 1, while for Geometry 2 it varies from 0.4 to 2.9.

This article discusses the construction of network manufacturing system based on open CNC, through combining the own characteristics of C/S and B/S architecture with CNC manufacturing units, communication is achieved by underlying network link through port design. This communication mode can guarantee real time and vast amount of data transmission, and ensure the wideness of the entire network manufacturing system, which is a strong trend of network manufacturing.

Abstract The level of sea transportation use in Indonesia is getting higher and higher, so it must be balanced with the improvement in the quality of port supporting infrastructure. The Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta will revitalize Kali Adem Port, which will also be assisted by the Thousand Islands Regency Government, considering that Kali Adem Port is one of the gateways to the Thousand Islands. Kali Adem Port is a passenger port located on Jalan Dermaga, Pluit, Penjaringan, North Jakarta, Special Capital Region of Jakarta. Kali Adem Harbor serves tourists who want to visit several islands in the Thousand Islands, and residents of Pulau Seribu who want to buy some daily necessities from Jakarta. Passenger density, problems with access and circulation, and several other problems require this Port to improve its quality and quantity. This port should have designed to pay attention to the environment, such as applying the eco-tect theme to this building, as well as the waterfront concept to maximize the potential of the existing sea. In this design the concept of shading is applied to the facade to maximize comfort and the application of energy-saving lighting in buildings and the Port and its plazas
