Plasma Display Panels (PDPs) are a popular technology for large size television displays. Screen inefficiencies, which result in significant localized heat generation, necessitate the use of advanced thermal management materials to reduce both the peak temperatures and the spatial temperature variations across the screen. In the current study, infrared thermography was used to obtain thermal maps of a typical, 42", high-definition PDP screen for different illumination patterns and for several configurations of externally controlled heaters, simulating PDP heat generation. The results were used to validate a 3-dimensional numerical thermal model of the PDP which was then used to predict the beneficial effects of anisotropic graphite heat spreaders on the temperature distribution of the PDP. In addition, a color analyzer was used to determine the spatial and temporal variations in luminosity across the PDP when operated continuously for 1750 hours with different illumination patterns. The thermal model and experimental luminosity characteristics are used to evaluate the deleterious effects of temperature on PDP performance.

In this paper, based on the FPGA and with a video dedicated A / D converter chip, LVDS coding chip, the design and implementation of a SD(standard-definition) analog video signals to HD(high-definition) digital video signal converter. First, input SD analog video into digital video signals meet the ITU-BT656 standard. Then use the FPGA with the video processing chip and DDR do some corresponding processing to achieve high-definition digital video output. After the actual test, the converter output signal of the image quality is well, meets the design requirements, and to verify the effectiveness of the program.

Transition is a natural law which means the things gradually developed from one stage to another. It comes to be a natural and logical thing when it moves towards the right direction. In this paper, we will take the nuclear power station video conference room contribution as an example to comb the management of video conference room from three parts: the limitations of “Standard-Definition”, the excellence of “High-Definition” and the necessity of transition. It also discusses the feasibility of nuclear power station’s High-Definition video conferencing system.
