In this work we studied the equilibrium of thione–thiol tautomerization by Raman and UV spectroscopies. This type of tautomerization influences on the course and direction of the reaction between thiourea and other organic compounds. The studies were carried out in water and aqueous alcohol medium. Мethanol, ethanol, propanol-1 and propanol-2 were used as alcohols. Hydrochloric acid was used to protonate thiourea in water and aqueous alcoholic solutions. UV spectroscopy made it possible to establish the tautomer ratio in water and aqueous alcohol solutions as the ratio of the intensities of absorption bands at 236 and 200 nm. There is an increase in the content of the thiol form and a decrease of the thione form observed in the row water-methanol-ethanol-propanol-isopropyl alcohol. The addition of hydrochloric acid to the thiourea water or aqueous alcohol solutions leads to the increase of the thione form and to the decrease of the thiol form in the composition. The thione form of thiourea can be determine by Raman spectra of –C=S group. The thiol form of thiourea is difficult to detect by Raman spectroscopy due to the overlap of the –S–H bond absorption band with alcohols absorption bands.

The micro/nanocomposite structure on silicon surface was formed by a simple 2-step chemical etching with a potassium hydroxide anisotropic etching and a stain etching in order to obtain a superhydrophobic silicon surface. Micro-sized pyramids structure was formed in a mixture of 3 wt.% potassium hydroxide with 8 vol.% isopropyl alcohol solution at 80C for 60 min. The formation of the nanosized structure was performed by stain etching at room temperature using nitric acid (HNO3) / hydrofluoric acid (HF) aqueous solutions. The silicon surface had the superhydrophobic surface. The contact angle was measured and the maximum value was 167o for the condition of second etching with HF : HNO3 : H2O = 11 : 1 : 3.

To improve the miscibility of cinnamon oil with water, this study uses microcrystalline chitin as the surfactant to prepare cinnamon oil nanoemulsion. Firstly, use isopropyl alcohol and concentrated phosphoric to act with chitin, disperse molecular crystal structure of chitin, and then use hydrochloric acid for decalcification, and prepare microcrystalline chitin through centrifugation, washing, freezing and drying. Dissolve it in acetic acid solution as emulsification, and dissolve cinnamon oil in anhydrous ethanol, and mix both of which to obtain emulsion by drops. Judge the emulsification process and results of microcrystalline chitin on cinnamon oil through conductivity data. The conductivity decreases gradually to 0 from 1.4μS·cm-1. At room temperature, the solution is aqueous liquid without stratification and precipitation, but has good stability.

AbstractHigh-resistance Pb_1 –_ x Sn_ x Te〈In〉 layers grown by molecular beam epitaxy on BaF_2(111) substrates with compositions close to band inversion have been investigated. The I–V characteristics and relaxation dependences of the photocurrent of the structures in dependence on the chemical surface treatment and subsequent exposure of the samples in air have been examined. It has been observed that the characteristics significantly transform depending on the physicochemical surface state. It has been found that the chemical surface treatment in the hydrochloric acid solution in isopropyl alcohol leads to an increase in the current by up to four orders of magnitude with the subsequent recovery of the I–V characteristics upon exposure of the samples in air for several days.
