Abstract The lighting design in a residential building now-a-days is not only limited to general lighting but also it is focused to provide quality lighting with the help of wide range of available luminaire with different orientations as well as colours with efficient use of energy, that opens up accurate characteristics of specific areas in any room of the building. The affordable housings in many states are some of the examples of residential building where most of the flats in a typical floor are using conventional lighting systems which are not energy efficient and light level is low compared to standards. This paper is mainly focused to provide a budget friendly as well as energy efficient lighting design with the help of new and energy efficient lamps using DIALux Software, which can be proposed to renovate the existing conventional lighting systems. In this paper effort has been made to reduce the power consumption in all rooms and lux levels has been achieved as per standard values along with good amount of energy saving with the use of newer technologies.

Reducing energy costs during the production of agro-industrial livestock production by maintaining the required lighting parameters is an urgent task. The largest consumption of electricity in farms is by electric lighting. The mass transition to energy-efficient equipment, using control systems in livestock and industrial premises of the agro-industrial complex, leads to increased energy savings and maintenance of optimal microclimate mode. (Research purpose) The research purpose is in developing energy-saving lighting installations, a program for automatic control of the lighting system and assessing the prospects for their use for enterprises of the agro-industrial complex. (Materials and methods) The article presents an overview of developments, scientifically based led lighting devices to maintain the required lighting parameters in livestock and industrial premises of the agro-industrial complex, in order to save electricity. Authors have determined that the technical effect of the proposed lighting installations is in reducing the electrical energy consumed. In one of them by creating a special shape of the light intensity curve, and in the second one by converting thermal energy into electrical energy used for additional power supply of the lamp. (Results and discussion) The article presents the results of research on the development of a program for automatic control of lighting systems for the implementation of energy-saving mode of operation. Authors consider the possibility of maintaining and regulating optimal illumination with the help of programmable controllers. (Conclusions) The analysis of the state and prospects of development of lighting systems showed the possibilities of development of scientifically based led lighting devices, as well as programs for regulating lighting in livestock premises based on programmable controllers. The use of the system will allow achieving optimal parameters of the microclimate, increasing productive and reproductive indicators, and effectively use optical radiation by reducing the consumption of electrical energy by up to 30 percent with the same quality of lighting.

With the continue increase prices of the electricity while the financing of agriculture is remaining the same, agricultural production is increasingly difficult to satisfy the needs of the population with food production. Under these conditions the role of energy-saving technologies in agricultural production is relevant. In particular, very important is the use of optical radiation for irradiation of dairy herds, poultry and plants. In this article, methods of energy saving are presented, identified on the basis of long-term theoretical and practical research of the authors and their graduate students. The reliability of this research is confirmed by defended theses, the theoretical and practical achievements, the protocols of experiments, acts of economic and factory tests. The authors hope that this information will provide practical assistance to numerous small farms in our country while choosing energy-saving lighting technologies.

The light emitting diode (LED) street lighting systems based on solar photovoltaic technology have been used for some time. In this paper, we present an analysis aiming at assessing the feasibility and economic performance of a solar-powered street lighting system for a 1km road. The present study introduces the architecture of a classical solar-powered LED street lighting system and estimates the total investment cost for a 1 km highway with 2 lanes. The cost comparison of solar-powered LED lighting and sodium lamps using grid was carried out. The calculations show that the energy saving effect of solar-powered LED lighting systems is obvious but the initial investment of solar-powered LED systems is more than sodium lighting systems using grid. The investment cycle is about 2.2 years under the current conditions.

Abstract This article is devoted to the problem of state management in the sphere of energy-conservation in the building sector. This problem is vital to ensure the energy and environmental security of each country. That is why the concept of the article seems to be very scientifically important. The article presents the results of scientific analysis of the creation incentives for the development of energy-efficient building. The existent management approaches and a role of program-target method of management in Russia have been analysed. Some new measures of energy-saving innovation implementation are presented. The disadvantages of current energy-saving programme have been revealed, and the concept of its improvement has been suggested.
